First time I ever have been there and wanted extra toppings on my whopper and whopper Jr and I was told there’s a charge for each extra toppings including mayo.
I refuse and ordered but I will never return there because Burger King slogan is have it your way at Burger King.
I was in Gurnee Illinois last week and order my whopper and asked for extra toppings and no problem and no charge.
Downtown is already overpriced and apparently this Burger King is trying to get rich but not on my dime. You lost my business and your whopper’s weren’t that great of the many I’ve eaten.

A standalone Burger King in all aspects. They don’t do any of the promotions, specials, etc. No discounts nor coupons. They even have mobile ordering disabled. When I initially came into the area, they had zero customers. All of the employees were hanging by the register, some literally leaning over the counter like children hoping someone might walk over to them. After 45 or so minutes two people stopped by. I walked up to place my order and was surprised they don’t even have the current featured items like the candied bacon whopper, adult happy meal or the wraps. Salads weren’t on the menu either! A medium Whopper with cheese combo is almost $16 which is ridiculous. At least the food was freshly made. The fries were piping hot and delicious. The whopper seemingly had more pickles on it than I’m used to, but was alright. The Whopper was messy though. You’d think for what they’re charging they’d at least try. The sprite had a weird soap like flavor to it which made me sick. I ended up throwing the drink away.
It’s amazing how all of the downtown Chicago Burger Kings are subpar at best and horrendous at worst.

Called to check what you they had. Refused to even check. Rude and stupid but it’s ok it sounds like they were not working with a full deck I wish them the best in their mediocre struggle with chewing gum and walking.

Let’s be clear, I’m grading this on a “Fast Food” scale. This five stars isn’t meant to compare it to Au Cheval.
That said, this is the best Burger King I’ve ever been to. Sometimes I have a few frosty beverages after work and grab some food on my way home. The Whopper is always hot, the tomatoes are cold. The fries are always fresh. It’s a solid dinner that I never regret.
It’s definitely my favorite place of all the food stands in the Ogilve food court.

Ridiculous pricing for a BK. Idc if this in a train station. You can literally go to top rated burger spots in the city (some a block or two away) for the prices you’d pay here for fast food. Complete joke. Don’t accept coupons. No value menu. Price gouging to the max.

Food was fresh and piping hot. No faults there, in fact probably better than most of the other BKs. Prices are Chicago average.
That said, service could be better. Had to ask for sauce for my chicken fries as I was never offered it, took a bit for the food to come out, and the staff felt a bit unwelcoming. There is also no mobile ordering available (so it is harder to access coupons), which is half of why I order at BK anyway. Having to wait a bit for food can be a deal breaker for some if you need to hitch a train so keep that in mind.

I love bk, but this location is terrible. They charge more than other burger kings, don’t participate in mobile orders, and won’t honor deals such as the bogo whopper deal currently offered.
