My daughter and I had a long day today with stops in Norfolk and Virginia Beach near Lynnhaven Mall. By the time we were near Janaf in Norfolk, I was craving a Whopper. There’s another Burger King nearby, but I’ve had a bad experience there, so I always come to this location because the food is consistently fresh even when ordering through the app.
We actually live in Suffolk, about 10 miles away, but we still choose this Burger King because it’s worth the drive. We even passed our exit just so I could get my usual double Whopper (don’t judge!) cut in half. I placed the order but arrived a little early without realizing it. One employee greeted me but couldn’t find the order, and then Billy stepped in. He found it right away and kindly explained that I was early. After the day we’d had, I didn’t even notice. He told me not to worry at all.
When I pulled up to the window, smoke was billowing from the grill — you don’t see that often at Burger King anymore. It told me everything I needed to know: my food was being cooked fresh. When Billy handed me my order, I told him how much his service surprised and impressed me. He is such a nice young man, and his parents clearly raised him well.
Honestly, while I was waiting for my sandwich, I had already decided I was going to leave a review. But when Billy said I made his day, he made mine too. This location continues to earn my business.

Ok, I get that accidents in orders happens. I ordered a number 3, Bacon King, plain. Just the burger, the cheese, and bacon. I get home and unwrap my food and as I’m about to bite into the sandwich, I smell ketchup. I open the sandwich and I see they added ketchup. Mildly irritated, I chalked it up as a mishap and I drove back to the place and asked them to fix it because they added ketchup. They did with no questions asked. I’m presented with a replacement and the woman who gave me my order back with a smile asked, “would you like some ketchup? I can make sure there’s some in the bag.” I smiled and said I hope everyone has a great day and walked out.
I was gracious enough to just come back and not hold a grudge for messing up my order, but I’m now saying this because we have people behind the counter that wants to rub salt on small wounds hoping they’d sting.
I understand now why Burger King is a dying franchise and how McD’s, while they’re mediocre, are still the no. 1 fast food joint in the country.
I do not recommend going to Burger King, let alone this location.

One of the managers on 01/11/26 said I couldn’t refill my cup because I went outside. It’s apparently a ‘sanitation’ issue. I have been in fast food before. I also got my ServeSafe certification. So believe me when I say. That only applies if the pop machine is behind the counter. The soda machine at this establishment is customer operated. This women is either a bully or has been deceived. Either way, I recommend you steer clear of this particular location. As other locations have not had this policy.

They remodeled the interior! Much more open, welcoming layout. The employees are friendly and it is a quiet area for those who are not fans of loud, hustle and bustle type atmospheres. Food was fresh and no long wait. Recommend!

Three words: Burgers for breakfast. After finishing a 12 hour night shift, sometimes you’re in the mood for something different than biscuits and eggs. That’s when a Bacon King and Double Whopper really hit the spot.
Also, big thanks to the helpful lady at the window that recommended strawberry jam on the Croissantwiches. Game changing move that I wouldn’t have tried otherwise!

Normally I get breakfast here. Today I decided to get lunch. A whopper meal. Sat in the drive thru for 30+ minutes. Cashier had to re take my order. I was given stale fries and a cold burger with a chunk of the meat and an onion thrown in the bottom of the bag. Customer service was non existent today.

It’s really up down here never really same experience, some days I good service, good food!! Other’s I wonder always good service food sometimes not in rotation , get some dry chicken, r cold fries r onion rings, I got onion rings and fries 1 day , love the onion rings never a fan of the fries. Other day ordered a large onion ring , GOT 4 RINGS , huge lettuce Chunk in my whopper. Just never know.
