After that, I politely asked for a couple of seconds to look at the menu. Instead of waiting, she immediately said, “Have a good day.” I responded, “What do you mean?” She replied that she thought she heard someone say something rude. Then she started laughing over the intercom.
When I pulled up to the window, no one was there.
As African Americans, we have to strive for better customer service, for ourselves and for each other. Respect and professionalism should be standard. Let’s do better.
