I didn’t complain about but they charged me for cheese but never gave it to me. I was already gone before I realized so check your food before you leave. Also, the workers at this location need to be trained on cultures and diversity. I was humiliated by a worker because although my name is spelled like a common Hispanic name, it’s pronounced as a French name. The worker challenged me several time about my name, even pointing to it on the bag, telling me no and saying it the Hispanic way over and over, no matter how much I explained. He even started laughing. I reported it through the app and all they did was apologize. No one deserves this type of treatment and I don’t appreciate it. They have lost a customer for good!
They’ve recently made a major expansion by adding a drive thru!
Not what I had last week which went in the garbage; I just left it at the counter. I was too disgusted to take a photo. I was giving up on Burger King ….. and I’m glad I came here tonight. I’m not coming often because it’s too far from where I live in Fort Lee. But I’m certainly not going to the Palisade Avenue Burger King anymore. The photo is Burger King in Closter, New Jersey meal I just enjoyed.
When I showed the manager, instead of shutting the kitchen down or calling corporate, she casually asked employees to confirm. They stood silent until one of them smirked and said, “Well, she almost ate the whole burger anyway,” implying I was just looking for another sandwich. Absolutely cringe.
This is not just “bad service” it is a direct violation of New Jersey’s health and safety codes. Under NJ Administrative Code (N.J.A.C. 8:24), food establishments are strictly prohibited from operating with rodent activity or contamination of food by droppings. The manager did not close operations, did not contact authorities, and simply offered me another burger as if that erased the fact I had almost eaten disease-carrying waste.
The sight of those pellets rolling down my leg and the dismissive reaction from staff was traumatizing. I left nauseous, with a headache, and furious that this location is still open to the public.
This restaurant should be investigated immediately by the local health department. For the safety of every customer, Burger King corporate and NJ health inspectors must address this violation without delay.
While the space may look better, it feels completely soulless — style without substance. All I wanted was a simple order of fries, something that should be hard to mess up. I was the only customer in line, so it wasn’t busy, yet my $5 order (which is already on the pricey side for fries) took nearly 20 minutes to prepare.
As I stood there waiting, regretting my decision, I finally received fries that were piping hot but completely unsalted. A small detail, but telling. In the end, it was a disappointing experience that proved cosmetic changes can’t fix deeper issues with service and execution
Also the large fries are tiny…
