I had the best hamburger (ordered small) that I have eaten in years. Fresh, tasty, all the trimmings – it was delicious. And my side was mac/cheese which was also delicious. And the prices were great – I think the burger was around $2.49. Overall great meal for less than fast food chains.

This is the only good place to eat around this town! Me and my son have eaten there the last two days. Yesterday when we had the chicken and today we had the catfish & shrimp platter. Both were good. Nothing super great but it was good food. No complaints.

The prices are very reasonable and a lot cheaper than at the Coushatta Casino Resort. If you are driving to Alexandria Louisiana and pass through Oakdale around lunch time or dinner, I strongly recommend stopping here. Sundays around noon can be packed here and I can see why.

Ordered 2 LARGE 6 Peice FRIED CATFISH, Was very dissapointed. The fish was like 1/4 of a filet, cooked very hard. The coleslaw tasted HORRIBLE. For the price I paid I think the food would have been better quality. I do have photos, I wish I was able to post. Do NOT recommend eating here!
