Very attentive staff. DELICIOUS food choices. There are a lot of fun twists on traditional favorites. The handshakes are fantastic. I had the Mac attack burger which was delicious and more than enough food for 2 people. The fries are amazing. The decor is cute for a burger joint.

Wish we had read the previous reviews before our visit last night. Yes, the restaurant was cold, and thankfully, there was seating outside overlooking the parking lot and next to the Carvel revolving door so that we could be comfortable.
Thank you for serving us outside. We never saw the server again after that and there was NO ONE else in the restaurant the entire time of our visit.
The burger was cooked well-done when asked for med-rare. The kale salad included full leaves (not cut up) and chunks of deli turkey. With flimsy plastic utensils, in a round bowl, I could not cut the kale to bite-size.
A plain burger, salad, fries, two soft drink and tip = $42!
Two star = quality of food ingredients and soft drinks was good.
We will not be returning.

Third time I have eaten at this location.
My experience has been consistany. Menu offers many choice with some burgers that you may not find in most places. I love experimenting new food so this is optimal for me. The food tastes great, i don’t think anyone can argue with that. I also enjoy craft beer and this place enables me to try some new options. My reason for giving it 4 starts and not 5 is because I always find the place a little to cold for my taste even during hot weather. And having a meal here can turn out to be expensive despite that I understand that these are not diner or fast food burgers. TO ANYONE THAT WANTS AN EXCEPTIONAL BURGER this is the place to dine if you don’t mind paying a little more for better ingredients.

I waited for a while to post this review and I’m glad that I did. We ordered take out a long time ago and I don’t know what happened but it came out the wrong way, however the restaurant made good on their mistake and totally fixed it and then some! So I went in there recently with a close friend on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving to try to have a meal in person instead of repeated take outs to see if the experience was any different. Eating there was so incredibly different than the takeout experience!! The waiter was great and highly attentive, the ambiance in the restaurant, the dishes to choose from, the food quality, the setting, the drinks, the presentation of the unique dishware, the music was hopping, the unusual tree branches on the ceiling decorated in multi colored lights in a classy way! – it all won me over x 10!!! I ordered two shots of whipped vodka, 1 lb of their fresh made fries, and a build-your-own Burger with avocados smoked BBQ aioli sauce on a sesame bun lettuce and tomato, and a small your mom salad – highly recommend!

I work at a hospital and needed to order food for 6 people. We decided obviously to do only lunch specials which are suppose to come with a side and drink.
I call to Place the order since I assumed it would be easier that way opposed to doing it online. There are no options for you to choose your drink or side order and a lot of my co workers have allergies and I wanted to make sure no one would become ill.
So I call and spoke to a woman and explained to her all this. She then forced me to do the online ordering promising it would be easier: all I had to do was write down what I wanted, who had what allergies, and who wanted what side order. I’m pretty sure she was just being lazy and didn’t want to take the time to write down everything.
So I do this and they still give my person with gluten allergies Buns for his burger after I specifically asked them not to.
Not only that, out of 6 people that ordered only TWO side dishes were actually given to us. This is extremely upsetting because this was what I wanted to avoid in the first place. Plus the fries they did manage to give us were burnt !!!
What’s the most bothersome is that she had the audacity to call me and ask for replacement side orders seeing as how they ran out of asparagus fries and do not sell sweet potato fries.
She literally called me while my coworker was there waiting for our food that took an hour(not 30 mins like she said it would) And STILL forgot the side dishes.
So that being said I will NEVER order from here again. Especially because the food wasn’t worth it.
I wish I would have read the reviews earlier.

What a cool little spot! had dinner with a few friends last night. it was so busy but our food came out, I thought pretty quickly. we split a pound of fries with couple of what seemed to be more dips then you could ever ask for. my girlfriend had their signature salad I had a concoction I put together with grilled chicken, avocado and a few other things. the guys had a couple of their burgers. open was baked in a puff pastry dough, really wild. to top it off they have some cool cocktails I wouldn’t have thought a burger joint would have and their servers were really sweet. love this place!

I visited the Thornwood Burger Bistro for a late lunch with a friend. I went to this location when they first opened up but they have updated it. They now have a full bar area and some outdoor seating. We were greeted by Michael. We sat at the bar and I ordered the Veggie Portobello Burger; I highly recommend it! My friend ordered a salad which he said was really good. We shared the pound of fries that came with three sauces. Michael made me a margarita which was great. Later on Claire made me another one which was great also! Both Michael and Claire were very friendly, professional, and provided great service. After we ate, we sat outside for a little waiting for my boyfriend to come. When he arrived, we ordered a few more drinks (happy hour $4 special). Thanks to the food, drinks, employees, and atmosphere, this one of my favorite spots in Westchester!

Inventive menu with some truly fantastic burger combos. If you want a classic burger for under $9 you should look elsewhere, however. This place is more something you’d find in Brooklyn these days, hand cut friends and gourmet burgers served on wooden slabs. At 10-14$ (burger) + 5-8$ (fries) + drink what you get in return is a grand Roman orgy of flavor in your mouth. Their homemade sauces, spreads and seasonings are to behold. Having said that, it’s just a tad pricey and not being able to get it medium-rare (or any way other than well-done) made the choice to dodge them a star easy.

PS, they also have great beer on tap and one of those soda machines with a billion flavor combos. This is definitely a place I’ll return to for lunch when I’m in the area and craving a top tier burger, but not so often.

I had mixed feelings on my first visit, so I thought I would try again. While waitin on line, which was on person deep, 3 people walked into me because the tables are too close to the register (I’m slim) for anyone to pass by while there’s a line. I ordered my burger which came with raw onion. I told woman that I cannot eat raw onion, she said they will be omitted. I could not find less than a pound of french fries on the menu, however, she said there was a small portion for $5.00. After $13.75 for my burger, I felt that $5.00 was way too expensive for fries, although, others exclaimed how good they tasted. I ordered a seltzer – total bill was over $18.00 after tax and tip. Way too expensive for a burger and seltzer water to have to dig into an open container of plastic utensils (in which others have placed their hands) and get my own. I understand that Smash Burger does this too, but Burger Bistro is more expensive and seems to be trying to be less of a fast food joint. As I was waiting for my burger, I was observing a table of 3 nearby. One person was served his burger, then a full 5 minutes later, the second burger came out, and finally the 3rd 2 minutes later. I felt badly for the first person who waited for all to be served and now had cold burger and fries. My burger came – and it had the raw onions on it. The waitress kindly took it back and soon came back with a new burger. Well, this burger was cold and WAY overcooked and dry as a bone. By this point I had been there over 20 minutes and still had errands to run during my lunch break, I couldn’t send it back. She did come back and ask how it was, I told her it was overcooked, she said sorry and walked away. During my time there, I did ask to speak to the manager, she said she would get him, but, came back and said he must have gone out as he was not in his office. I am writing this in hopes of giving the some constructive criticism as I am hopeful that Burger Bistro will be successful in Thornwood. The overall customer experience needs to be better in order for them to have long term success. BTW – the seltzer was excellent!

It’s obvious they’re still working out the kinks (beer taps weren’t working), but the burgers were good (Mac Attack & Guinness), even though I like mine med rare and it’s only served well.
Also, I get it, you spent a lot of $ making this place look cool, but please stop with the flashing LEDs and lower the lights a little.
We’ll definitely go back, but with Manhattan prices, just not as often.
