I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn’t deliver what I’d hoped. I’d eaten at some great burger or burrito stands in this area years ago, but hadn’t been in this area for quite some time. Wifey wanted a burger joint, so we just randomly selected this one as we exited the freeway for gas, drove by, and said hey, these places are usually great. It was about 7:30pm on a Sunday night, so perhaps this was the B-team, or they were getting ready to close? I don’t know.
What I do know, is I came in very optimistic, and was greeted by a young lady with kind of a “whatever, I’m just here” type of attitude (ok, no biggie, it’s getting late, maybe she’s tired.) I proceeded to order fish n chips (season salt for the fries please), a burrito for my son, and an order of pancakes (these places usually have great breakfast!)
First, it took what felt like a pretty long time for literally nobody else in the place. (I’m in the F&B business, so I do have an understanding of what the cook is doing and how long it takes – not to mention he’s in view.) Ok, no biggie, so they were mostly cleaned up maybe? and/or just moving a little slow (probably moreso this one), but again, no big deal, I can wait for good food.
We get it To-Go by the way, and she hands me the bags, seems polite, great – let’s eat! Get to the car, no fork or Syrup for the pancakes. That sucks, but ok, I am parked close, don’t complain, go in, grab them, all good. Get back to the car, wifey notices the fries did not have the season salt. Ugh. Ok, go back in A-gain, starting to get a little annoyed now, as I have to walk back inside Twice for things they forgot to give us. So truly, and honestly, service was not good.
Food – ok, let’s try! Well, the fish was not bad. The fries were average, not bad, but not great either (I prefer a little more crunch than what they were.) Pancakes were just very Meh – nothing special whatsoever. No great flavor, maybe slightly overcooked (definitely not Fluffy.) And nail in the coffin, didn’t really agree with my wife or I hours later. Nothing major, but definitely didn’t agree with us. So I’m probably being Very generous w/ the 3 stars – because again, I’m in the business and I’m sure their A-team can rock. But this visit was below bar.

The pastrami was surprisingly good and did not have big pieces of fat.. nice! My onion rings were a bit overcooked.. hence the 3 stars.

Was working around LA less than a week. But I made sure to come back at least 2 times before leaving. Smaller place/restaurant but a way better burger. Lots of other options to check out on their menu.
Thought a review and pics of the delicious meal could be the least I could do, other than a tip!

Today it’s Sunday 10/19/20025
I came with my family to eat here and I was craving for chicken teriyaki I always come here in the morning to eat after doing my deliveries so today when I ask for chicken teriyaki the gentleman who was working on the griddle he said no after 12pm it’s 10am. I always come here at 7:30am to eat and order whatever it’s on the menu even chicken teriyaki and the owner does it. I don’t know why the guy from Sunday’s shifts cant do it.

Seems like the people that work there, dont like each other. But the burgers, chicken tenders, fries and omelets are amazing. Wasn’t a fan of the burritos. And they got beer!

First time passing by, I drove my car from Firestone all the way to then end where I had to turn right or left. Had to turn back, but we were hungry, so we stopped at the first place we saw.so we stopped by Burger Basker. the cashier lady was friendly, she got our order and only saw her and the cooker. They were making the order fast, took like 8mins to get our order. I will say for what we paid total $24 for 2 drinks horchata, 1 jr.burnger with a side of fries and combo #1 , it was enough to fill me up lol they gave us alot of fries 🙂 as you can see in the picture but I will say this the fries weren’t that crunchy a bit at the soft side , if they would of let it in the fryer for 2 mins more the fries would of been good 🙂 the burger didn’t has that much flavor, but like I said only 1 cook and 1 cashier. He was cooking all the over by himself and had to move a bit quick , respect . So I will try it again if I ever pass by that area again. Some people will or will not like it so it’s up to you to decide 🙂

The place its really expensive and the food its really bad they charge you 5.99 to upgrade your burger to a combo but it doesn’t include a soda and if you want chili cheese fries or onion rings they charge another extra 5.99 to replace the item its crazy will recommend not to waste your time and money at the place really bad experience
