Burger Barn is a delicious family burger spot been operating over 30 years! As first time visitor I am very impressed, love a classic American burger fries and onion rings! All fresh cooked to order and they have seating area under shady trees if you want to eat right away. Very kind service and great taste! Will be back!

We pulled in being out of towners and were not optimistic. The prices were so cheap how could the food be good?
To our surprise the food was amazing!! The burger was delicious and juicy. The chicken sandwich was crispy and greatly flavored, the onion rings taste like real beer battered thick cut rings, the fish sandwich was one of the best we have had, and the curly fries taste just like Arby’s.
10/10 I wish there were burger barns near us.
Just a reminder, looks can be deceiving.

I’ve wanted to go to this place for a long time and read a Bunch of reviews online saying how good it is so I stopped today to get a burger fries and a soda. I wish I went to McDonald’s don’t waste your time or money just my opinion.

Not the best restaurant but for hawthorne is beats McDonald’s, nothing flashy here could basically pass for a food truck. Burgers are great service is alright and their are picnic tables out front. I guess the drive thru is convenient though I never use it.

As I was traveling from Palatka back to Tampa …. When I called to place an order the man that answered the phone told me that he was too busy to take orders so I just hung up on him.
The drive-thru is very short and a tight fit for vehicles that they back up onto the road. I placed my order for a burger with no tomato, luckily I stopped to check it, because of course it had tomato on it. It. The onion rings and milkshake were very good, but of course I had to waste more time and get the burger made again.
Quaint place to stop while you’re traveling, if you’re just picking up/drive through. There is no indoor seating.

Great place for a burger when you are driving through. I go through that area a couple of times a year and I always stop at the Burger Barn. Nothing spectacular… just a good burger. Get the double! Fries and shakes are good too. They have a couple of picnic tables but most drive thru and go.

Was heading north to NH and we had left Largo Fl at 11am. Long ride to go and we were hungry and passed a few places on Rte 301 when we hit Hawthorne Fl. Saw this little red barn that said burgers, take out. Not a McDonalds, yeah. Long and short of it i wish I had taken pics of the burgers, onion rings, and shake. But I was to hungry.
I would 100% recommend Burger Barn. The burgers were great, rings great and who could beat the nostalgic look and feel.
If I ever get that way again you beat I’ll stop there.

Seen other reviews and drove the 1.5hrs from jax to try them. Came to area for other things just decided to try. Frys and drink was the only thing good about it. Burger Patty’s not fresh made more like store bought Patty’s that you get for a cookout. That was a disappointment in itself. Customer service was great.. Not worth all the hype of it from the reviews. Unless it was a off day don’t sale store bought as fresh made like other reviews look like..

In a world of generic fast food this place is perfect. I had tried to eat lunch somewhere else and had to throw it out. This is simple classic American food and it’s a gem. I had the burger with everything, I think it was called super natural style, and tots. It’s a cute red barn with a drive through. There is a small parking area and a few tables in the shade. I bet if so lived here I would eat this a lot. Low prices too. GREAT alternative to fast food.
