So the Hillbilly and a buddy needed a lunch spot near Sunshine and Glenstone, so we decided to try The Burger Bar. I can say it was pretty good.
It’s basically a small bar and grill type area in the lobby of the VIP hotel. The setting is… well, it’s lobby, but a nice lobby.
The burger was good, but a bit pricey. But, if you were staying at the hotel, it would be a nice alternative to going out.
All in all, it was pretty nice and the service was very good. I’ll eat there again, if I’m in the mood for a good burger.

Overall I give it a solid 4 star , these are gourmet style burger so they cost slightly more than your regular fast food burger. I got the Boursin Bacon Burger with the caramelized onions, I also added onion rings to my burger, overall the onions were decent I wish they had a little bit more of a flavor profile . The overall taste of the burger was excellent, it wasn’t too dry or too juicy.. The French fries to me are standard nothing too over the top but definitely above average !! One thing I appreciated was the portion, it was just perfect for an afternoon lunch , I felt full without feeling the drowsiness of the buns.. my coworkers ordered some thing from their menu and they both gave it a 7 as well

My husband and I ate lunch here today on our way home to Oklahoma. What a special treat! I had the Mushrooms and Swiss burger with grilled mushrooms, Swiss cheese, balsamic carmelized onions and a creamy garlic aioli that I’ll be remembering for some time! A smooth taste of garlic heaven. This is the best Mushroom and Swiss burger l’ve had in my long life!
My husband had the Boursin Bacon Burger with applewood bacon, carmelized onions, garlic herb Boursin cheese, lettuce and a balsamic reduction with an ending sweet note. Delicious. Their hand cut beef tallow cooked fries stand on their own! Perfectly cooked golden brown potato heaven. Presentation was not overlooked here as burgers were served on a wooden like platter with fries in their own mini fryer basket.
If you want a memorable burger meal, make a beeline to Burger Bar! You will NOT be disappointed. We will be back! If you live in Springfield you need to eat a burger here!

Great burgers and fresh cut fries. We got the garlic and the boursin bacon burgers and no complaints. They were hot, perfectly seasoned and dressed and delicious as were the hand cut fries. It’s a typical hotel bar atmosphere and order at the counter, go to counter for any other requests etc but that’s fine. Just don’t go expecting full service being waited on. The food is soooo good. We will definitely return.

Went here on a date night one Friday evening. We’d driven past the location many times but had never been before. It’s a very informal setting, but the lobby area is nice—with TVs and a bar.
The food was amazing! We had a couple of burgers, a jalapeño popper appetizer, and waters—all for around $35. The garlic smash burger was excellent—rich, but not overly so. The Plain Jane was also a great burger; all the vegetables were fresh and in season. The jalapeño poppers with berry sauce were fantastic. Everything was super fresh, hot, and served without any issues. The fries were also very good. Well worth the money in our opinion.
Arrive early to beat the crowd and hopefully catch one of the burgers on special that day.
The menu isn’t large, but it has enough variety to make your decision tough—and it’ll definitely make you want to come back to try more.
We’ll absolutely be returning to try some of the other items.

We came here for the first time. Its my new favorite burger place. Juicy and delicious. Reasonable price for beed drafts. Came during happy hour. Before the time ended server asked if I wanted another one before it ended. Great service and atmosphere.

I really wanted to try this place and I really wanted to like it but MAN was it a total bummer. The burger might’ve been a little better if I didn’t have to swim through the aïoli (as u can see how much is on just that one napkin), and the fries were so soggy they were almost wet???? We ordered for pick up and had it ready in 10 minutes was very fast so it’s not like it’s sat and waited on us or anything. I’m kind of shocked. I was hoping it would be like a new burger place for me. not so much……o well. Just hate giving a bad review but dang dude.

I saw that they were doing a Veterans Day discount, so I stopped by to have a burger and was glad I did. The service was excellent, and the burger was even better. If you’re wondering, it’s inside the hotel, and it’s well worth your time to come in.

I ordered fries as a main, and I love that they use real potatoes in a fryer, I recommend they soak in water longer to help with an earthy taste or boil in water with a touch of vinegar before frying.

What a great burger and fries. Went for lunch and had the BLT burger. I’d say it’s up there as far as one of my favorite burgers in town. The fries were generously portioned and flavorful. The presentation was great and it was very friendly service. I’ll be back, and you should def give them a try.
