Stopped by recently and loved it! The menu has so many options—you can basically find every fast food side you’ve ever wanted. I had the paneer burger and it was seriously good, and there are lots of other vegetarian choices too, which makes it great if you’re looking to mix it up. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. The restaurant has a casual, laid-back vibe, perfect for a quick bite or a fun lunch with friends. Portions are generous, and the food feels fresh and satisfying. Honestly, it’s hard to find spots like this that combine tasty food, lots of choices, and really friendly service. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more off the menu!

I visited this spot back in 2021 and had my very first veggie burger in the USA here. Honestly, the taste was awesome—highly recommended for anyone visiting Seattle who wants a flavorful burger!

It is a small, cozy shop, but there is one important thing to note for those with strict dietary or religious preferences: they use the same utensils for both veg and non-veg (beef and chicken) items. I personally disliked this aspect as there is definitely cross-contact happening.

If you aren’t strict about shared equipment, the food is great. But if you have specific dietary or health preferences regarding cross-contamination, you might want to keep this in mind.

I really like the Paneer burger here. They give you a big piece of marinated paneer, that has been cooked on the griddle, the seasoning is on point. Just delicious. They have also done renovations. The service is good too. It’s a perfect spot to grab something tasty, quickly on the go.

I ate here for the first time today. I went around 12:30pm, and was the only customer. My burger was made to order, as were the fries. The young man at the counter was friendly enough, but I think a language barrier had him a bit slow on understanding my order. That was fine, he was earnestly trying.
The good: my burger tasted pretty good! The fries were nice and hot! The lettuce was kinda brown and wilty. But the slice of tomato seemed good and the burger was cooked medium-well, which is my preference.
The bad: Folks, this place is not clean. From the front door to the peek behind the curtain into the kitchen, to the all-gender bathroom, it looks like they view “cleaning” to be a quick wipe with a damp towel – at best.
The front door is grimy and the window needs to be cleaned. There’s a thin film of yuk on the tables. And guys, come on, the bathroom had a bottle of spray cleaner sitting on the toilet tank with two meager napkins, but neither the toilet nor the sink had been wiped down in some time. There was no handsoap, no hand towels, and the air dryer was not working. That’s just gross.
The whole place needs a deep cleaning.
Now, I love me some greasy diner type joints as much as the next guy. And your burger was pretty good. Show some pride. Clean up the place.
I will return here in spite of my detracting comments. If it’s clean and the food is still good, I will be a recurring customer. If not, I won’t be back.

UPDATE: I went today (10/22) months after my first visit. I’m conflicted.
On one hand the guy who wrote down my order and cooked it got it very wrong. However, to his enormous credit, when he noticed it, he volunteered a genuine apology. And I told him thanks, I really appreciated it, but I will eat it anyway. I had already started eating, and the thing is, the burger tasted good. The fries were very hot. The guy is busting his tail, making everything one order at a time. It’s a burger, and this ain’t Canlis. The day I go full Karen over a wrong order is the day my villain origin story begins. Ain’t happening.

The flip side is nothing is any more clean than my first visit. This time I took a photo of the bathroom situation. Now the paltry paper towels are sitting on an extra roll of TP. There’s still no paper towels to dry hands on. The tables are grimy.

Bottom line: the food tasted good, the guy is working really hard, and I respect the heck out of him. But I recommend you take your order to go, because sitting in there to eat is gross.

Burger Hut in the University District near UW is a true gem for anyone craving something satisfying after a long day—or a wild night out. Their paneer and veggie burgers are the real stars of the menu: simple, fresh, and downright delicious. The paneer is flavorful and perfectly seasoned, while the veggie burger strikes that balance of slight crunch, hearty goodness that makes you wonder why you ever needed meat in the first place. The menu isn’t overly complicated, and that’s exactly what makes it great—just good food done right.

What truly sets Burger Hut apart is its late-night availability and relaxed vibe. Whether you’re wrapping up a study session or stumbling out from a party in the U-District, this place becomes the go-to spot to satisfy both your hunger and your mood. It’s one of those places where every bite feels comforting, where the food hits just right at 1 a.m., and where a simple burger can make your night feel complete. Tasty, accessible, and always reliable—Burger Hut keeps winning hearts, one late-night bite at a time. They have branches in Bellevue and soon To be opened in Bothell.

We came here very late around 12 am. We ordered chicken masala burger and Chicken wings burger. I really liked the wings burger . It was spicy and tasty. The seating area needs some attention but I think the owners are not interested in upgrading this place into a nicer one. May be they just want to maintain the old style , dirty feel,
Which could remind people of hawker stalls of Pakistan , India, Bangladesh etc. Halal

We ordered chicken masala burger and veggie burger. They’re both amazing, and the place also has a lot of options to choose from. The flavours are really good and it’s very pocket friendly. The service is super quick. The fries taste really good as well, one of the best Indian burgers we’ve had in Seattle.

I ordered a meal to go and halfway through watching them cook I had to leave. I watched the cook pulling beef patties out of a box that was on the ground, no gloves being used and the cook was pulling earwax out of his ear while at the grill. Not a care in the world.
The total lack of hygiene was astounding.
I paid for my food when I ordered and didn’t even ask for my money back, I just left.
I highly recommend not eating at this establishment if you care about sanitation.

My go to place for easy and economical paneer burgers with a very Indian taste to it.

This is not a fancy restaurant and a few of my friends even dislike this restaurant but I love it.

Arrived at 1:05. Ordered eggplant burger medium spicy fries and coke zero. Guy who took my order was very polite. Nice amount of seating. Service a little slow, got food around 120, but I didn’t really mind because I got to check up on stuff for classes tomorrow.

I wasn’t sure what to exactly expect with the eggplant burger but I’ve been looking to get more into eggplant lately so I thought I’d explore a potential use case. Burger came on a sesame seed bun with roasted eggplant, cheese, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and some sort of chili sauce akin to sambal olek. The burger was delicious. The fries were good and I could imagine them being even better with some sort of garlicky sauce rather than ketchup. They had some sort of masala and paired well with the burger.

I’d like to return and potentially check out the paneer masala burger, and maybe a different fry option. Overall very good spot and will be back.
