We are Buono’s! Serving Authentic Italian cuisine in the South Bay since 1967. In 1965 Francesco & Teresa Buono opened Buono’s Market in a small store in San Pedro on 15th and Gaffey. Back then Buono’s was famous for their Torpedo Sandwiches, House-Made Italian sausage, and Nonna Teresa’s Meat sauce from our family recipe from Ischia, Italy. Our father, Nicolaniello came to the states shortly thereafter with a small suitcase of recipes and a vision to bring our famous dough to America. From there Buono’s Pizzeria was created. Today we are still operated by Frank, George, Oreste and Teresa Buono (Nicolaniello’s Children), and Grandchildren, Matthew, Giorgio and Giovanni. Your Great-Great Grandparents were our neighborhood kids!

I dined in for their $15 all-you-can-eat buffet, and it was honestly a great experience! From the fresh, cheesy pizza to the perfectly seasoned pasta and crisp, refreshing salad, everything was delicious. You really can’t beat the value, endless refills of your favorites for such an affordable price.

Excellent pizza! We also enjoyed the wings and wine. Casual family owned place. We are pizza snobs and their pizza wowed us. They have a great happy hour! 3 minute walk from Crowne Plaza. Recommend.

1st time visiting this restaurant, on a whim, glad we chose it. The service was great and friendly. Food was beyond delicious. Definitely will return again in the future. Ordered the personal pizza and a pasta (linguine with shrimp), with garlic bread. Prices were more than reasonable for the quality of food and quantity.

If you are staying at the Crown Plaza for a cruise take a short 5 min walk to this fabulous pizzaria. Buffalo chicken wings to die for and they have Gluten Free pizza that is spectacular This place is so worth it if you love pizza.

This has been one of my favorite places for pizza for many years. My wife and I were in San Pedro on Friday for an eye appointment in the late afternoon. After the appointment we decided to have dinner here. We walked in, and the line was short, only one person ahead of us. The place has 2 or 3 people waiting for their to go order and maybe 3 or 4 people eating at establishment. We placed our usual order a personal pizza and a 12″ sub that we share. We find a small table to sit. While we were waiting, there were 3-4 employees standing around. A big family of about 6 takes the tables next to us. And other small groups come in that are also dining in. The employees just stand around and chat. They have a basket filled with utensils and cloth napkins. Not one thought about bringing them to the tables. Our food comes out, and the pizza is great. But our 12″ torpedo is almost as hard as a rock. I took a few bites, but the bread is too hard. It seems like they are using 2-3 days old bread. I called our server over and told him. He took it to the kitchen to have them remake it with a fresher bread. But it was from the same batch. My wife and I ate it, but it should not be this way. She doesn’t like to complain so I didn’t say anything anymore. But it is sad how these establishments go down in quality and service while prices go up. While we were eating, I had to ask for napkins and parmesan cheese. Good thing our young server was the only one being helpful. A few minutes later, I see two gentlemen from different tables get up to ask for utensils because no one brought them to the table. I live in Long Beach and usually go to Ocean location. But I have also been to San Pedro location, since they were on Gaffey. Hope they can bring back quality and customer service soon.

We ordered lasagna and penne. They somehow forgot the penne. They brought the lasagne out with 2 plates. They quickly gave us a refund on the dish they forgot and apologized, but we weren’t too impressed with the overall service. There were 7 or 8 people working but nobody came to our table except to deliver the meal. Luckily the lasagna serving was enough for two and it was delicious or I would have given lower ratings all around.

I had a really good experience here and pricing was not that bad for the location. Their pizza and bread sticks were on spot. Very good portions for one person and I even had leftovers for later. Was able to enjoy a nice large beer while they crafted my carbohydrate carnivore pleasure.

Super delicious pizza and breadsticks…. Huge salads and calzones…. I’m not kidding huge!!! Also the best mozzarella sticks in California. Wings are also great! Just be prepared to have a Togo box ready
