James and the family from the ORIGINAL BUONO’S are BACK. At Buono’s Higley we stay true to NYC style pizza, by using fresh local ingredients. Buono’s has been bringing New York-style pizza to Arizona since 1989! Just like a local NYC neighborhood pizzeria. We are an independently family owned and operated pizzeria restaurant. Joining James is his fiance Nia from New York and his Father Jimmy from Jersey. We look forward to providing a great atmosphere and even better food for the community. We refuse to compromise. We use the freshest & finest ingredients. Our pizza dough is made Fresh daily. All sauces and hand tossed pizzas are made in house. We had a great experience at Buonos! We ordered the antipasto salad, the Sicilian garlic bread, and a Works pizza. The salad was fresh and tasty (we added banana peppers!), and the garlic bread was a great appetizer. Our pizza was delicious and we had plenty of leftovers. Service was also good- our server, Emerson, was very friendly and offered us quick service. We were seated by Claire, who was also friendly and brought us our drinks right away.

I stumbled upon this pizza place unexpectedly. I decided to order some Honey Hot Wings and a simple Cheese Pizza to start. Honestly, both choices were an absolute delight, and I savored every bite. The service was top-notch, especially because the server, Rob, was super friendly and attentive. The overall atmosphere inside the place was also cozy and inviting, making us feel right at home. It was a perfect casual dining experience, making me wish I could go back right now.

Food and service was 5 stars. Since it was our first time in, Rob our server was super patient and helpful in explaining everything they offered on the menu and gave great recommendations. Highly recommend coming in and ordering garlic bread with mozzarella. Pizza was some of the best I’ve had in the area.

Stopped in for a slice and I am SO glad I did! Katie was such a wonderful server, and the food was great! I ordered 2 slices with Pepperoni, an order of garlic knots with mozzarella and a peach lemonade! The slices were big and crispy, the garlic knots were so cheesy and fresh, and the lemonade was so good! I’ll definitely be bringing my family here soon.

Rob and Albert were Ana I g for my stop in today. They had a specialty pizza that was hands down one of the best slices I’ve ever had…and I’ve had a ton of pizza. Worth the drive from anywhere in the valley. Come see these guys and get a pie…or 2.

Buono’s serves up an authentic NY pizza with slices that hold their shape for hand eating & enjoying. Next time we may order light on cheese as the pizza would probably be just as good. Friendly professional service and customers reflected that this was a family favorite. Appreciate the table set up with red pepper and Parmesan; house salad was also very good. Prices are reasonable. The pic below was a large and two hungry adults were able to eat half.

Oh my goodness!! This place is a hidden gem. We have always driven by but never stopped in. The truth is, we never stopped in bc of their store sign. The sign has a slice of pizza along the side of their name, Buonos. This led us to believe they only specialized selling pizza by the slice(we don’t care for those types of service counter only restaurants). Well, Mom and I were looking for a restaurant to eat at when we were on the corner of Higley and Baseline. We decided upon Buono’s bc we thought it would be fast (pizza by the slice). We were pleasantly surprised when we walked through the door. Buono’s is actually a sit down restaurant with table service. A kind gentleman by the name Rob greeted us and told us to sit anywhere. He was also our server. He was prompt coming to our table. He was very informative about the menu and took our drink order. Mom and I ordered to share the appetizer Arancini. Mom and I both agreed it was delicious! Then came our calzone with pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. Wow!! We ordered the small to share. It was HUGE! And OMG…it was the best calzone we have ever had!! It was prepared perfectly. The dough had risen perfectly to form a thin crispy crust. And the marinara sauce on the side couldn’t have tasted better. The food and the service Rob provided made this a picture perfect 5 star dining experience. Our hats are off to Rob and the chef!!

Food and service is always amazing here. They’re so kind, especially Rob who waited in us tonight. He was so patient and kind. This is my favorite regular pizza place and will come every time I’m craving Italian 🙂

On my third visit in as many days. The pizza is phenomenal, the meat sauce has perfect acidity and texture. The pasta and bread comes out wonderfully hot. Kayti, my server tonight has an incredible personality and table side service, and she will keep feeding you as long as you’re still moving. Kayti, Brianna and Albert are amazing! Go see them!

First time here. You can tell they take pride in their business by talking to them. We had a great experience. The guy who served us told about the history of the business. We always go for cheese only first time trying a a pizza place to see how authentic it is. We were not disappointed. We also had the garlic knots and they were just right. We started out with the antipasto salad and it had generous amount of meat and cheese on it. The flavor of everything was really good. We will be back again and plan to bring some family to try it out too.
