This place is probably THE best Italian food I’ve ever had. The service is always fast and friendly and I like how they have daily specials which change frequently. Not to mention, their garlic spread is to die for. We got the calamari to start and as our entree, we got the butternut squash ravioli and spicy tomato pasta with chicken. If you’re looking for a place to eat, look no further!

Perfect place for a delicious dinner on a Saturday night. We had reservations for 7:00 and were seated promptly. Although the restaurant was really hopping. We ordered a couple of apps for the table, fantastic arancini!, We also had some pizzas and one person ordered a perfectly cooked piece of branzino.
The owners have been in the business for a long time and really know how to run the place. Service was excellent but not hurried and the vibe was busy with a nice mix of family gatherings, friends, and dates.
The owners are charming, too.

The service, food, and wine selection was amazing! We ordered the Mista salad, Rigatoni Buona Terra, Agnolotti Zucca, and a Margarita pizza. Everything was incredible. Even the bread comes out with a candied jalapeno dip and a garlic dip that were to die for. The owners were in and they are the nicest people! I can’t wait to return.

We had a fantastic experience at Buona Terra Ristorante. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere felt warm and authentic.
Michael, our waiter, was phenomenal attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He truly made the night special. We’ll definitely be back!

Everything is outstanding! The calamari sautéed in red sauce was the most tender we have ever had. The veal was mouthwatering. The swordfish was cooked and seasoned so well. All the pastas we had were cooked perfectly with sauces that are very rich and deep in flavor. Cheppy and Irene and team do an outstanding job of making sure every experiment is the best it can be! Highly recommend!

First try after hearing a few people say this place was great, and I am so happy we tried it!! The start of the meal with warm bread and a delicious garlic pesto is mouth watering. Overall, all of our dishes were SO Delicious! Excellent, fresh homemade pasta cooked Al Dente. I recommend trying the grilled calamari – so much flavor and cooked perfectly. I would come back for the Ciacio e Pepe again (which my husband ordered) and I had the corkscrew pasta with Parmesan cream, peas, prosciutto and mushrooms. Also very delicious! My friend tried the special with butternut squash and shrimp scampi- the shrimp was giant and so fresh! Cooked perfectly.
Only thing i would say is get there early, we arrived at 5pm and by 5:15 every single table was taken! The restaurant gets very loud also. Service was very friendly and food came out quickly without feeling rushed. Desserts were also wonderful- I’d you have room left!

This was such a pleasant surprise/hidden gem for the neighborhood. The whole meal was amazing, portions were good and the flavors were on point. I would rather come here than deal with the hassle of going to the west loop or river north where I usually aim for date nights; that’s how good it was! Service was great and they even gave us the most amazing cheesy soft chewy hot out of the pizza oven bread on the house when we asked for extra bread to sop up the sauce in the mussels.

***NEIGHBORHOOD GEM ALERT***
We celebrated our son’s 22nd birthday with dinner at this wonderful restaurant! The setup & aesthetic of the restaurant is visually appealing with the brick exposed wall, the covered “outdoor” eating area, and full stocked bar. I like the fact the you can see the chef cooking in the kitchen. Quaint restaurant that delivers GREAT FOOD! From the warm bread and garlic spread to the grilled calamari & bruschetta to our entrees – spaghetti (2), rotini & pennini…everything was perfectly prepared! Our drinks were well made, too! The birthday boy was gifted with a complimentary tiramisu, which is excellent & well made. My favorite part, we were greeted by the manager who was pleasant and shared the history of her establishment! All in all…great experience!

We mostly ordered from the appetizer menu! Grilled calamari on micro greens, mussels in an amazingly deep, slightly spicy red sauce (I took the leftover sauce home), Greek salad and panna cotta. We split everything and left very happy! We may try the entrees next time, but then again, maybe not…

The first time we went we loved it so much so we went back again. The second time we were sadly disappointed! There was a special burrata appetizer that was $20 that came with crackers that were dry and hard, three pieces of prosciutto and random slices of tomato on the plate. It just didn’t seem like a $20 plate to me. Also we ordered the pork chop which was overcooked and the “gnocchi” side was so hard and burnt that we couldn’t even chew through them. I asked the server if the gnocchi was meant to be burnt and cooked extra well done and he said yes so I didn’t want to push the issue further. We left it all on the plate. For me as a server that would be a red flag to ask if there was something wrong but that’s just me.
