I take my food and money serious. please read the update below this.
The pizza tastes so good in all the right ways! Great flavor and a an unusual chewy crust. It’s kind of different in a good way. I think it’s a solid pizza especially the southaven, ob or hernando area.
Update:
I retract the 5 star review above. Went back again…the next night. I had two completely opposite take out experiences.
Upon picking my pizza up I opened the box and looked inside. It did not look like the pizza I got there the night before. It was extremely lacking in cheese and just looked like it was burnt initially bit it was really just dry and shriveled up looking as it had hardly any cheese.
They remade the pizza for me and after waiting ten minutes. It looked much better as shown in the photo.
Unfortunate for me
they put onions underneath the cheese which I dont like. Like how do you make a scrappy pizza get called on it by the cuatomer and then mess it up with onions that were not suppose to be there in the first place. My lordt.
I was gonna leave my positive review of 5 stars up from the first night up since they remade my 30+ dollar pizza better but in fact they completely ruined it for me. When they made it the second time they showed it to me and it looked way better. Little did I know there were onions underneath the cheese. I hate onions. My husband ate most of it. Initially I asked for a refund and the young lady said ” I will not charge you this time” Whats that mean? Im not sure because her attitude the whole time was as if i was being a Karen over nothing. Alls I wanted was a well made good pizza like I had the night before. The young lady said something to the effect that’s how all their pizzas look. Well it was nothing like the one before it had hardly any cheese and it looked like it would cause cuts or abrasion while eating because it was that dry. I look back and feel gaslighting is the customer service training she got. I even accepted a remake of a pizza. Let me tell you I barely complain I just eat it and I do my reviews. But she gaslight me so well I did a remake. She showed me the pizza when it was remade. It looked much better and adequate cheese just like the night before. But those onions they put under the cheese still managed to ruin it for me as I hate onions. I could hear them discussing remaking my pizza and it was sounding like a problem. I was tempted to say somethimg and get a refund then but i sat there and waited ten minutes more for a pizza i couldnt even eat. I will never eat here again.

Third time eating here. First two times were great, but this one fell flat. The service was great as always and the manager took good care of our large table. Everyone else said their meal was great; I wish I had ordered differently.
The Potato soup was decent, I was hungry and ate every drop as soon as it came out. The buffalo chicken sandwich (the special of the day) was not good; I only ate two bites of it. The dessert was inedible – it tasted like plastic.
We will be back because it is a local favorite of the family, and I will be sure to give a higher rating if this was a fluke.

What a great little gem in Hernando. The service is always friendly. The place is always clean. Food is cooked to order, so it’s fresh and hot.
I’ve never been disappointed with a meal. Burgers, sandwiches, pizzas …. Always amazing.

First time I waked into this place I was so intimated by their menu I walked out and didn’t order anything. My next attempt I was greeted by an employee that was super helpful explaining why I needed Buon Cibo in my life. As I travel the country for work, I find that super good quality food is hard to find. My only disappointment is that there is not one of these next door to my house. Thank you so much Reagan for advising me to stay and try. As well and the recommendations on my next six visits.

The Jackson Pizza (bacon, caramelized onions, and roasted sweet potatoes) and a large chicken ceaser salad (to go- I had them add tomatoes). I enjoyed the food and the price seemed average compared to other places ($30 for the small Pizza, large salad, and a tea). I would recommend!

I’ve been there a handful of times and one thing I always get is their pasta salad! It is a little pricey, but the food there’s always been tasty and it’s a nice change from either fast food or mexican.. everything always tastes fresh and the service is quick and friendly.

Buon Cibo is an established local-source restaurant with a great selection of pizzas, salads and other dishes. I’ve never gone away hungry and the food is great! The staff is always friendly and some of the wall art is also for sale. (Kids’ chalkboard not included!) One of my favorite family-friendly eateries and I’m always pleased!
