I ordered the Cajun Fire Philly as it looked extremely appetizing on the website. I made sure to order the whole philly with no onions, yet when I received the sandwich, it still felt like there was a lot more peppers and jalapeños than there was actual steak. It left me very unsatisfied; I didn’t even finish my food. Perhaps the other offerings on the menu like the burgers are better (my sister and mother really enjoyed the burgers they ordered), but the sign out front has “Philly Steak” proudly displayed as the first offering on the sign. I expected way better than what I was served.
Additionally, the food is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. I paid $18 for the combo that came with mediocre fries, a fountain drink, and fried corn (which I didn’t care for), and it was a complete waste of my money unfortunately. I’m glad that I least gave this place a shot because now I know I need to go elsewhere for that philly cheesesteak craving.
On a more positive note in terms of my personal experience, the service was average, and the best part about the restaurant was the atmosphere. It had a nice visual presentation with the art, and I was bopping my head along to the music that was playing at times. But food should be the top priority at any fast food establishment, and what I ordered was astronomically below my expectations.
TL;DR If you’re looking for a place in town for a philly cheesesteak, this is NOT the place. For philly cheesesteaks: Bun’s is BUNS.

I thought I knew burgers, but Bun’s just humbled me.
This wasn’t just a meal; this was a full on flavor assault in the best way possible.
The Halal smashed burger had that perfect crispy edge, juicy center, and rich beef flavor that only comes from a proper smash. Every bite hit with melted cheese, savory juices, and that toasted bun soaking up all the goodness.
The cheese overdose burger lived up to its name; layers of molten cheese dripping over a deeply caramelized patty, paired with crispy bacon and sauce that tied everything together like a masterpiece. Messy. Decadent. Dangerous.
The Cajun surf & turf smash might’ve been the star. Juicy beef, Cajun-spiced shrimp, and creamy melted cheese all stacked together. The Cajun heat with the buttery shrimp and beef combo was unreal; Baton Rouge flavor energy in burger form.
The lemon pepper wings were fried to perfection; crispy outside, juicy inside, and coated in that bold lemon pepper seasoning that hits tangy, savory, and addictive all at once.
The crawfish eggrolls were next level. Crispy shell, creamy crawfish filling, cheesy, rich, and pure Louisiana comfort wrapped into every bite.
And that strawberry shortcake jar dessert… insane. Creamy, fluffy, sweet, with layers of strawberry and crumble that made it impossible to stop eating.
This is not light food.
This is crave food. Reward food. Come back again food.
If you love burgers, Cajun flavors, and bold comfort food, Bun’s is a must.
Baton Rouge, y’all got something special here.
Would I come back?
Without hesitation.

also spotted a manager and I believe owner— were also genuinely welcoming! I will always consider this place when I want something to hit the spot
By the way, that’s fried corn! Next time I’m getting the crawfish fries which I didn’t realize they had.
