Bunny’s Tavern has been a fixture in downtown Urbana since it was established in 1936. It’s known as a place for locals and visitors to gather and watch their favorite team. Our clientele and staff is what makes Bunny’s a special place, the food and drinks aren’t bad either. Just ask anyone who’s been to Bunny’s about our daily food specials and our breakfast which is served seven days a week. Bunny’s has seen a lot of changes over the last 85 years but none bigger than the expansion that was just completed in November 2020. This is a great place to hold your next party! Last but not least don’t forget our motto, “Thru these doors pass some of the greatest people in the world, also some Cub and Cardinal fans”.

I’m scared to review this as it lends to a good argument to increase prices, but I love this place. I can’t speak to the rest of the menu, but the burgers are fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff always takes excellent care of my table. I only rate the atmosphere as 4 stars because the room I usually manage to get a seat in (because they understandably have a lot of business) appears to be their party room and it seems relatively bland (to leave room for party decorations?).

A wonderful and lively bar! The restaurant is divided into three areas; an outdoor patio under a roof, an indoor bar, and a dining area. The dining area looks crisp and clean. The bar area has well maintained gambling machines and is decorated with newspaper clippings dating back to the 1930s. One detailed the end of prohibition. The bar itself is lovely.

It’s not a bad place for bar food. Their outside seating is fun! Had to find waitress to take my order. Other than that pretty good. I think I’ll just stick to the beer and live bands they have often.

We loved the atmosphere!! Well made food with a diner feel. We sat outside on the patio,, along with a couple who brought their dog. Our food was good and the price was right.

The food is amazing at Bunny’s!!!!! My favorite is the shrimp tacos on Thursdays! I believe they toast the tortillas so they’re lightly crispy, the shrimp is some of the best I’ve ever had, they garnish the tacos with a little bit of lettuce and you can get shredded cheese, ranch other condiments if you like!

As a queer person, I felt very uncomfortable in this bar. The vibe in there just made me very tense. The waitress seemed wary of my partner and I, and she rarely checked in on us. Other patrons also seemed unsure of us and were having loud conversations with vaguely homophobic topics or right wing dog whistles. The food was basic bar food, nothing to write home about. If you’re LGBTQ, I don’t suggest going to this bar if you aren’t comfortable with this potential atmosphere.

Great food. We were travelling and found Bunny’s Tavern. Saw that they had a Walleye Sandwich for their Friday Special. It was a crazy deal for the price. Awesome local beers on tap also!
