Never disappoint. I usually get the ribs and sausage. My husband usually gets the brisket. Every side we have ever gotten was great. Their potato salad is awesome. Their rib sauce is great!! They were short handed (as most places are) but we had no problem getting great service. Love this place and we go as often as we can.

We worked with the new owner, Moody, to do an afternoon lunch event for us at the Bosque Art Center. Moody was easy to work with, he made great suggestions on offerings, amount needed and took care of everything down to the sugar packets. He provided the food, serving spoons, desert, drinks, cups, plates, silverware and sweeteners for the event. They delivered on-time and set it up, the food was nicely packaged and presented well, the food was amazing (I loved the brisket and the ham was out of this world) and the sweet tea was perfect. We also have eaten over at the bunkhouse and have always had great food on-site, as well and their employees are great. My son says they have the best grill cheese ever for you non-loving BBQ fans. lol. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in town or to cater an event, I highly recommend the Bunkhouse.

Great place to eat! Very good food & plenty of it! Service is good and if there is a problem, they will fix it! Relaxed, friendly, downhome atmosphere and decent prices.

Wow!!! This was the best BBQ we’ve ever had!!! Highly recommend the family pack with 1 lb of very generous portion of chopped brisket! Cole slaw was perfect not too mayonnaisey or vinegary. Sausage had just the right amount of spice.

We were visiting the area and stopped by for supper. The food was delicious and Shawn was very helpful and made sure to double check our large order was correct after bringing ever out to us. Some of our favorites were the corn nuggets, brisket, fried okra and sausage. This was our children’s first time having Texas BBQ and it didn’t disappoint!!

Very good food. Very polite service. The regular sized sandwich is almost as big as a plate; better get the small sandwich if you’re not a big eater. The brown beans are very good; they are not bland and they were hot. The pulled pork is very good. The sweet tea is good sweet tea. In fact, that sweet tea may be the best in town. They are open for in-house dining. They do ask you to wear a mask and social distancing is practiced in the dining area. They also have a curbside service. Single hole bathroom that is clean. This place has it altogether. Y’all come.

Well, we heard this was the best spot in the area for BBQ so we tried it. The portions of the meat are huge. The value for the sandwiches is excellent. Now, of you are looking for seasoned meat don’t expect that here. The pulled pork has no flavor so you must use the sauce. It was fattier than a lot I’ve tried. The okra also has zero flavor. It’s tasteless breading. Mine was very over cooked. The food is not bad. It’s not Pecan Lodge and Guy F won’t be stopping by, but it’s ok. The sauce is more vinegar than not. The pie was yummy, but I literally recieved the smallest slice ever. For the cost I did expect a normal slice. I can’t say I would ever eat here again.

I have been going there for 15 years. Always good food and good portions at a a good price. Not any more. Recently it was sold. Now I get a sandwich half as big for a dollar more. The service was rude. Not like before. Everyone was nice and friendly. Another old timey place gone to hell.
