I was blessed not once, but twice in one day by Chef Gerrard—and I didn’t even know it at first. We had no idea the same chef who impressed us earlier was also behind the food at Bungalow 10, but once the plates hit the table, it all made sense.
It wasn’t until mid-shift that we realized it was Chef Gerrard. He came out to our table personally to confirm how we wanted everything prepared, then went back to the kitchen and cooked it all to perfection. Afterward, he came back out again just to make sure we were happy with the outcome—and that kind of care says everything.
I had the best bacon double cheeseburger of my life—no exaggeration. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly how a burger should be. The seasoned fries? Absolute perfection. Crisp, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating.
The ambiance was unmatched—warm, stylish, and inviting. Even with a group of nine people, we fit comfortably in a booth, which alone deserves recognition.
And being from St. Louis, let me say this: they had St. Louis rice on the menu. If you know St. Louis folks, you know we do not play about our rice. It was so good I kept reaching over and eating off my friend’s plate—and I have no regrets.
This felt like the best of both worlds: great food, great energy, and a chef who clearly cooks with heart. Bungalow 10 is doing something special, and it shows.

Tonight was our 2nd visit to the BEST restaurant in Nashville. We celebrated my hubby’s birthday here tonight. I can honestly say that this establishment is the BEST dining experience we have had since we moved to Tennessee. The food is absolutely incredible. The head chef has skills and talents like no other restaurant in Tennessee. Each bite is packed full of unbelievable flavor. Tonight we had the BEST KEPT SECRET: Fried rice taken to an extreme level of flavor and scrumptiousness in every bite. We had that our 1st visit here also. Tonight we also had the salmon Rockefeller with the cilantro rice. Hands down the best salmon I have ever had. It was full of spinach and crab with a Cajun cream sauce over the top! The rice was also packed full of amazing flavor. Our first visit we had the Caribbean chicken and rice …if I had to pick my favorite chicken meal of all time…that would be it. Each bite was better than the 1st. We had amazing service both times…this time April took extremely good care of us. We have started out our visit both times with the lemon drop flight….they definitely get your experience started!!! We are fortunate enough that this amazing establishment is only 10 minutes from our home. We will be back…again and again!!!
