The meal deal for 4 was plenty of scran (almost too much for 3) and well worth the money. The beers were great, very odd flavours (I got the coriander beer) though very much quenched my thirst.
Staff were chatty and very helpful (especially when questioning the odd beers). You need to order from the bar which made getting served very easy. The place was massive and had loads of tables best for large groups. Thankfully it was quiet the day we went so got in and sat down lickity split.
Heavily recommend for a wee night out with a big group, has a lovely vibe and is very well decorated inside.
Thanks for a lovely experience. Cheers 🙂
I’m a big fan of traditional South Asian food, especially meat dishes, so this place wasn’t quite to my taste. That said, the fried okra was excellent, and the rest of the food was decent overall.
My vegan friends absolutely loved it, and I can see why …it’s a great spot for vegans. For me personally, though, it wasn’t somewhere I’d be excited to revisit.
The menu is broad enough to have a wide range of choices and the quality and flavour of the food is good but lacks a little bit of character for me to call it best.
Portion sizes are average as is the value.
Located just minutes from Piccadilly Gardens, all you see is a doorway…
Head down the stairs and you are greeted by someone friendly that confirms your reservation and depending on when you go will let you pick a booth or table
If you like spicy street food, and a wide selection of taps – then you’re in the right place.
Peruse the menu, then head to the bar to order (Nando’s style) which is a great way to check out the array of beers and ciders on tap.
It’s also super easy to avoid bill splitting as everyone pays for their own food and drinks.
Food is delivered to your table and depending on where you sit you can watch the chef’s at work.
During busy times – you will likely share your table with others – u less you get a booth.
The food is spicy, with a slow burn the builds up gradually so you can actually taste the flavours
My order:
Pain puri
Paneer kebabs
Gobi Manchurian
Plain rice
House masala chai
Way more than I was able to finish
And at £27 I feel like it was great value for tasty food served hot
Staff work
Hard here
Visited on Tuesday night at 6:30pm so it wasn’t heaving, yet every table and booth was occupied
Highly recommend booking in advance
