Visited Bund’Up during a busy afternoon at Union Market. The service was friendly and fast, which I always appreciate. The food itself was decent, but the pricing felt high for what was offered. Charging $2 for a can of Sprite stood out as especially overpriced compared to other stalls. Overall, it’s convenient if you’re already in the area, but there are stronger value options in the market.

I had this catered for a New Year party and ordered three buns: fried chicken, Korean bulgogi, and pork belly. Unfortunately, none of them tasted authentic.
The fried chicken portion was extremely small—about the size of two nuggets—and nearly half of it was just fried dough with a sweet-and-sour flavor. The pork belly was overly greasy, with about three-quarters fat and very little lean meat. The Korean BBQ was unexpectedly spicy, which was not indicated on the menu.
At $12 for three buns, the quality was disappointing. Even as fusion food, the flavors were poorly executed and not enjoyable.

Got the tofu and mushroom buns to try here. I think they were alright but they tasted pretty similar because of the sauce choices. Wish they had more diverse flavors for their vegetarian choices, would love something with a bit more of a kick or some tanginess. They’re also not the most filling so I’m guessing you would need 4 for a full meal, in my case I got a smoothie from a different stall along with it.

Kev is amazing! We stopped by to get something to eat and he blessed us with amazing food and a kind heart! We love bao buns. These are soft and the meat is seasoned with excellence.
The roof top view at Hi- Lawn made it even better!

A good option in Union Market. They’ve updated their pricing – they used to have a deal for 3 buns, but now it’s 2 for $11. The spicy fried chicken isn’t very spicy. The pork belly was good! It’s a small operation and they’re moving fast, so not a lot of interaction with customers.

I received food with visible mold on it, and the restaurant initially refused to refund me. I had to warn 20 other customers not to eat there before they finally agreed to send me my refund through Cash App. Completely unacceptable experience and unprofessional handling of a serious food safety issue.

Saddest buns in the world. The chicken buns should be renamed “chicken nugget bun” because that’s what it felt like eating.

I’ve seen nothing but good things, and they did not disappoint. I ordered six buns, and they were all delicious. My favorite was the mushroom bun and the pork belly bun, so good.

It’s hard for me to resist a Bao bun spot, so I wanted to try this one when we were at Union Market.
Unfortunately, they were already sold out of a lot of their buns when we went around 4 for an early dinner. We ended up just trying the PB&J bun.
I thought it was pretty good and it made me wish we had gotten there before they sold out of some of the others. We’ll have to go earlier next time!

Was here Friday, 7/11/2025 at 6:56. I ordered a spicy fried rice bowl and two buns. While the food is fine, the service was poor. I would normally just not go back to a place with poor service, but I provided a tip and still received poor service. I frequent Union Market because I enjoy supporting local businesses, but I believe tipping should at minimum ensure I receive decent service.
