My boys and I are in town from NY visiting family. I was born and raised in SC but have been gone for years unfortunately. We ate lunch today here and it was our first time. Food was great, service was great and she was super friendly. Atmosphere and view was spectacular. We will definitely be back.

This was our first time going to Bummz Beach Cafe and it won’t be the last! Great atmosphere on the water. There was a band playing when we were there. Graham was our waiter and was very welcoming and attentive. We started with the Grouper Fingers…delicious! Lightly breaded and a nice portion. We ordered blackened mahi sandwiches and they did not disappoint! Generous portion of fish and perfectly seasoned. It came with crispy chips on the side. Excellent, casual dining experience!

Bummz may come across as basic when looking at the menu but I guarantee they are anything but. The servers are wonderful, the patio is relaxing, the live music is always with talented locals, and the food is wonderful. All the meats are tender and moist, sauces are full of flavor, and the drinks will gently encourage you to relax and enjoy the beach to it’s fullest. I’m not ashamed to say we visited multiple times during our trip whether it be for a bite or lounging with a few drinks in the chairs on the green enjoying the breeze coming off the ocean.

Gotta say, as a guy from the PNW who loves Alaskan cod for fish and chips, Bummz’s grouper (with cocktail and tarter sauce) really surprised me. A very delicate texture with a nice balanced batter.

I rarely leave a bad review, but I was extremely disappointed with the Mahi-Mahi salad. For $18 ($21 after tax) you would expect more than iceberg lettuce, a few slices of tomato, and a very thin piece of fish. It looked and tasted like a $2 side salad from a pizza restaurant. I felt very ripped off.

Cool little spot on the beach and a nice atmosphere. We visited since it was close to our place. We were seated without a wait. The food and drink selection is good, pricing is fair. Service was pretty good too.

Atmosphere was great. Food was BLAH! My house salad came with no fixins’ and the wrong dressing. Hamburger was blah and chips were soft. Then when the bill came we had to pay an additional 4% for using a debit card which was not referenced ANYWHERE. We would have paid cash had we been told.
