I was driving through Jackson on a long road trip and stubbled upon this place with Spectacular food. Really great home cooked fried chicken, yams and collard greens! The staff made me feel at home too. Thank you for welcoming me!

I’ve been hearing about this place for a long time and finally tried it! The staff were very friendly! I felt really welcome. I ordered the pork chop with Mac and cheese, and yams. Everything was good, the portions could have been a little bigger but overall I would definitely come back!

The food here was amazing! We got in at around 4, so a lot of stuff was sold out (which makes sense, since so much is made fresh), so I would recommend getting there earlier or ordering ahead. We had the catfish, fried chicken, baked chicken, okra and tomatoes, collard greens, mac and cheese, and green beans. All of it was well seasoned and fresh.

We gave it a four star because for the simple fact my husband is a rib connoisseur, but that being said he noticed that they boiled their ribs so therefore the ribs were OK. My food was great my catfish I feel was a little over fried but it was still good, the atmosphere was amazing. Customer service was great. If we ever in Jackson again, I would definitely go back and visit them again thank you Bully’s.

Heard about this place from the locals. Am Georgia born and raised, in Mississippi for business. Heard they are the best soul food in Jackson. Everything was good from the dressing, mac and cheese baked chicken, collard greens. I definitely will be checking them out if I visit Mississippi again.

Chicken tetrazzini was a lil different taste with the base and cheese. It was more like chicken spaghetti. I enjoyed the veggies. Next time will get the ox tails.

Stopped here after a long drive from Denver, had a hankering for some soul food, and my group was pretty wow’ed! No frills restaurant with some of the best food I’ve ever had. The gravy was immaculate, and the chicken was so flavorful. Super kind and hospitable staff! Would absolutely recommend

I love going to Bully’s when I’m in Jackson. When I lived in Brandon I would drive there almost every day for food. Everyone is so welcoming! This is a black owned restaurant, almost like your hole in the wall type restaurant w| the best food made w| love.

Checking out some REAL southern soul food with serious southern hospitality! Hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST greens I’ve ever had! The meatloaf was perfection and the gravy had just the right amount of hot sauce…. I ate every bit of it all!!! Then sealed the deal with peach AND blackberry cobbler!! If you’re ever in Jackson, MS, you MUST come eat at Bully’s. It’ll be the best soul food you can find!!

Authentically Southern cooking from the ham hocks and pig ear sandwiches to the smothered fried chicken with yams and greens that I ate. Recognized as a James Beard Classic with good reason. All the food was delicious. This is a clean and well run (yes, funky) place at the heart of Jackson’s foodie scene. Must-go.
