4. 4 Stars. Overall excellent food and customer service! I enjoyed my patty melt immensely and two of my family members chose the all you can eat Rocky Mountain Oysters. Great value on the patty melt price and doubling the patties was well priced. I only wish that the patty melt automatically came with more condiments and lettuce, tomato, etc. These are minor issues and this is a well loved restaurant with many options to choose from, even in the pandemic era. One drawback present at so many establishments currently and which is beyond their control is the lack of buffet style salad and soup bars which I certainly miss.

Thanks for a great time and for the high caliber, hot, quick to fulfillment and stomach filling meal! Cheers!

I don’t know what it was but the atmosphere was off. This being my first time to this establishment I was expecting more, from all the great reviews. The Prime rib was very fatty, and flavorless, as were the potatoes. The green beans were the highlight of the meal, although very obviously from a can. We also had the deep fried pickles as an appetizer, accompanied with the ranch it was decent. The server was efficient but not friendly. We never got her name or a smile.

Wonderful country restaurant. Best steaks anywhere around. The Saturday prime rib is fantastic. Only place I’ve been in Colorado where you can get walleyed pike. Clean place, with friendly staff. There’s nothing here not to like.

Words do little to describe how good this place is. I have had steak and crab legs on 2 different occasions and several lunches, and it was always consistently good. You want to have a good night out away from Sterling and have a good meal try this place.

Honestly it wasn’t their night. Burgers were dry and lacked seasoning. Waitress did alright. Over $200 for a group of 10. 4 kids and 6 adults and the kids split plates. idk if the food was good enough for that price. We’ll see if there’s a next time.

I ordered the t-bone and ordered it medium rare. After the waitress told me it would take some time, I made sure to say please don’t over cook it. When I got it, it was over cooked, well done on the edges and maybe medium in the center. Also outside was charred and it was dry, and overall flavorless.

The sides were small, but tasted okay. I had the mashed patatos.

My wife got the crab, it was good.

The service was good, with the waitress checking on us and frequently making sure our drinks were refilled. She also appoligized after she asked how the stake was, but did not offer to do anything about it. I guess I just expected more for the $75 I spent on dinner for two. The location is interesting, but every time someone came in we got hit with a cold breeze.

Well 5 star all the way. This place is always busy and I know why. Great good, great staff, and it’s not a chain.

When you walk in it has a rustic feel. This is not your big city steak house. It is right out the country nothing fake about the look.

I am told that at night you need reservations as the place us packed. I have been here many times and it is full of locals and guests from all around.

The staff us always friendly. They may not have time for lots of chit chat, but they do ask how your doing and how your day is going. That’s more than you get from chillies asking for drink order as the intro being your waitress. The last time we went in they asked if we had been out hunting and if we had gotten any birds.

Ok let’s talk food. I got the chicken fried steak sandwich. If I hadn’t been out hunting I would have only eaten half. Came out with a healthy portions of fries for sure. It was awesome food. My friend got the soup, vegetable beef. The vegies were not small at all. For the price you get more than what you pay for.

Would I change anything about this place. No, I can’t think of a one. Will I be back, YES SIR.

Great place off the beaten path. Food was excellent, service was awesome and the pricing was very reasonable. If you are ever in NE Colorado on I-76 or Highway 6, you owe it to yourself to stop in and have a great meal.

Called to make a reservation the gal on the phone was very rude, interrupting while I was talking & put me on hold without apologizing.
Prom night must be very hard for her.
Needed exact numbers & times or it would “Screw up her books!” I hope to change this rating. That depends on the night & how our services are received.
