What a great find. A lovely traditional pub in the countryside with fantastic home made food. We had superb pie & mash and fish & chips accompanied by home made tartare and tomato sauces.

Beautiful food. A real delight, we would love to go back and try more dishes. Lovely music. Freezing cold pub though. We asked if they would Light fire but was told there wasn’t enough people in pub to warrant putting it on!? The fire was set to light and had a full scuttle of coal next to it but despite the fact we were spending approx £90 on lunch they refused to ensure we were warm. In my mind if it’s a warm pub more people would come and stay for longer, wouldn’t they? An English pub should be warm in the winter. Coal isn’t expensive and I think they’d make more in food and drink sales if they set the ambiance and temperature right. It was a shame as the lunch was divine and the young waitress was very attentive. Pleased we found it. We will be back but maybe in the spring when it’s a bit warmer!

Fantastic pub! Made a last minute booking for 6 adults and 2 children, the staff were very accommodating and made room for us. The Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve had for a long time – and very reasonably priced. 100% recommend

Nothing short of Wow.
The food has been nothing short of amazing this evening. The staff have been wonderful.
Would totally recommend to everyone.
The sticky toffee pudding I would give 10 out of 10 . For those who have read other reviews of mine I love my sticky toffee puddings and this one is now on the top of my list!

This is our local pub, and it never fails to impress. We’ve been coming since we moved to the village, and we’re never disappointed with the food or the drink. We regularly eat with our toddler and the staff are great with him. The menu is varied, offering everything from hearty classics to lighter, seasonal dishes — there’s truly something for everyone.
The Sunday lunch, though, is the real highlight. Perfectly cooked meats, generous portions, and all the trimmings make it one of the best around. It’s the kind of meal that keeps you coming back week after week! Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and consistently great food — our favourite spot, hands down.

We visited the Bulls Head for the first time this weekend and were super impressed. The pub is cosy, the staff were really friendly, good choice of drinks and the food was amazing. The menu offered some pub food staples, but this isn’t your average pub. There were also meditteranean inspired dishes with delicious flatbreads and houmous. The cod with salsa verde, ratatouille and mash was out of this world. The desserts were also brilliant. Whole heartedly recommend and will be back in a heartbeat.
