Coming into this place, I had fairly high expectations. We were staying at the hotel next door, and several local hotel staff members recommended this restaurant, which immediately set a higher standard in my mind. When we arrived, however, there was only one car in the parking lot—and it was leaving. There were no customers inside the restaurant at all, which initially raised some concerns, but we decided to give it a chance anyway.
We walked up to the counter, and the employee on duty greeted us and began assisting with our order. One person in our group was asking questions, and during that process, the employee repeatedly walked away toward the back of the kitchen while continuing to talk to us instead of staying present and focused on taking the order. This made the interaction feel disjointed and somewhat unprofessional. Eventually, he returned and began helping us more consistently, but the initial impression of the customer service was already not great.
I ordered several items: smoked buffalo chicken wings with fries and blue cheese, fried okra, and a fish sandwich. This is where the experience took a turn—because while the service left something to be desired, most of the food was actually very good.
The fries could have been slightly crispier, but they were well seasoned, lightly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, which still made them enjoyable. The smoked buffalo wings were very flavorful and well prepared, though they were on the smaller side. The fried okra stood out the most—it was perfectly crispy, well seasoned, and cooked to a great al dente texture.
The fish sandwich was the one item that fell a bit short. I am not sure whether it was because I ate it later than the rest of the food or if it was simply undercooked, but it lacked the crispiness I was expecting. The seasoning and breading tasted good, but the texture just wasn’t there.
I also ordered a cookie, which unfortunately was extremely hard. That would be the one item I would not order again.
Would I come back for the food? Yes—because overall, the food quality was significantly better than expected. Would I come back for the customer service? No. That disconnect is the main reason my rating for this restaurant is what it is. The food and the service are not operating at the same level, with one clearly outperforming the other.
One thing I did notice was that once we mentioned we were staying at the hotel next door, the employee’s attitude noticeably improved, as his wife apparently works there. While that was interesting, customer service should be consistent regardless of where guests are staying.
If I ever return, I would want to visit during a much busier time to see how they operate under pressure and whether the food quality remains consistent. I would also likely try different menu items.
Overall, I would recommend this place cautiously—for the food, or at least certain items—but with the understanding that the customer service may not meet the same standard. Hopefully, this was just an off day, but based on this visit, the service is not something I would confidently recommend.

I’m sorry, but I was highly disappointed. I ordered ribs tips combo (Brunswick stew for the side) and a brisket sandwich. Hopefully this was just a bad day, bcuz everything was horrible. Service was good (hence the 2 stars, deserving of 1), food was not. Well I take that back, the Brunswick stew flavor was good but was too watery/soupy. The rib tips taste like they were boiled, I did not like the taste nor texture. Sometimes sauce will vindicate, not the case here, the sauce is lackluster. The brisket sandwich smelled good, so I thought they were about to redeem themselves…NO!! (and I hate to name drop but Buc-ees brisket puts yall to shame as well as Fox Bros). I am thoroughly disappointed and annoyed bcuz I’m HUNGRY!! I will NOT be returning. Terrible!

Food is absolutely terrible!! I ordered rib tips Mac and cheese collard greens and banked beans. For one the rib tips were undercooked and I can tell they never touched a grill! Secondly all the sides are terrible the Mac and cheese was flavorles and I can tell it was literally macaroni noodles with shredded cheese! The collards!! I literally have have better CANNED collards these collards were also flavorless and had onions in them!! I’m so confused. The baked beans were CHILLI BEANS WTH!! Never again I highly do not recommend!

This was the worst experience I have had in a long time and when I do say the worst, I mean the worst I came in at lunchtime me and one of my friend girls. She ordered her food and I ordered two lunches. I had barbecue rib tips and a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, man macaroni and cheese. The drinks were in the refrigerator canned drinks and I asked could I get one of those the gentleman told me no because they’ve been sitting there for three years so I could not get the drink I had to get a fountain drink OK so I go to get the fountain drink the lids won’t stay on so they’re spilling spilling everywhere in my car so I took my friend girl home and I went home which is in Cobb County. I sat down to eat the rib tips, but you could smell them through the whole house. They were very ranked spoiled no good and. And I called up to the restaurant ask for the manager. The white guy said this is Shell. How can I help you? I said no I want to speak with the manager. He said I am the manager and I say you sent some spoiled stinky rib tips and you sold them to me now what am I to do? He said he would talk to his cook and find out what happened why why did I get bad food. But did not say anything about replacing my food that I had to spent all that money for some spoiled meat. If you know like I know, do not go to bullpen rib house at all. The manager is a white guy and he is very rude.

Very tender ribs that just fall off bones. Briskets are fantastic too, and it only takes couple minutes from order till food gets to your table. Don’t get it why there ain’t many customers. Definitely underrated restaurant.

I live north of atlanta and was traveling down in this area for work and saw this hole in the wall. It had quite a few cars so thought why not? I’m definitely glad I decided to have lunch here. Omg may I just say the pulled pork plate was amazing! I had 2 sides the Mac and cheese, collards greens and corn bread. It was a large meal that I had to take my collards to go. The corn bread was sweet and had a crispy taste. It was pretty busy for lunch so I didn’t mind the wait because the food certainly was worth it. If you are in the area I recommend stopping here for a bite to eat it won’t disappoint. Ohh also it’s not fancy by any means but super casual so if you don’t care and just want good food go here!!

Showed up to this BBQ place but knowing what to expect. The flavors were decent, but the portions were surprisingly skimpy. more bun and sides than actual barbecue. For a place that calls itself a BBQ restaurant, the lack of meat was a real bummer.

The ribs were excellent. Big and meaty. Sauce was served on the side and was on point. Slaw was good with my favorite, celery seed. Brunswick Stew was very tasty. Would like to see some potatoes in it but still very good. All in all a great experience.

This place was really good
I dont know if it’s the guy that took our order but he was nice man.
The food was really good but, the wings are, small.. If you complain for something you ordered on the place, it really depends, the chicken sandwiches werent that bad but they couldve been better, the ribs were amazing, like a 8.2/10 but then the bread thing, it wasnt so good, but it’s a place thats supposed to be specialized in meat, not bakery so if you complain about that, idk you may be stupid. The atmosphere was good. I like the place’s look. BUT the bathrooms suck. That’s maybe the worst bathroom ive seen in a long time. Overall 4 stars, its a good place with good food.
