The bartender who I can only assume was named marge was the most rude person our group has ever encountered in food service. In the middle of asking about their menu she turned away mid sentence and just walked away. She also seemed very upset when asked what soda they have. I genuinely hope marge finds happiness.

You can tell that the owners strive to provide great food, with amazing service, from friendly staff, in a warm atmosphere, that’s easily affordable.

What a fantastic hideaway! Gave the owners a ride back from the draft in GreenBay and they welcomed me in and I tried some of their food. I had a Baccon Cheeseburger and jalapeño poppers. The burger was cooked to perfection almost smashburger like. Now I’m a big fan of jalapeño poppers and good poppers are hard to find. Well I assure you they found them. They were perfect! Not steaming hot on the inside where you end up burning the roof of your mouth. They tasted so good! Will definitely be returning.

Amazing pub food at unbelievable prices. $7 to $10 1/2 pound burgers with super fresh other ingredients, generous side dishes. Very clean. A hidden gem.

You’d have to be drunk to think this is anything special food wise.

Ordered to go. 30 minute wait, walked inside and had to wait for 5 more minutes to even be able to pay and collect my food.
Onion rings: soggier than cereal left in a bowl of milk for hours.
Jalapeño Poppers: bland, probably bought from a vendor then just deep fried on site.
Bull Pen Special Burger: Patty overcooked and extremely dry. Lettuce was literally moldy, and bun was ridiculously hard, like a baguette.
Wildcat Special: Same story as the Bullpen Special regarding the patty and the bun, except the jalapeños were also extremely over cooked and mushy.

Daughter had a softball game and after the game we decided to “give this place a try.” Needless to say, as we walked in, we felt uncomfortable from the get go. There were maybe 5 people in the place and when we walked in the bartender lady rolled her eyes. As we were about to pick a table to sit at, another eye roll. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a place. If I was in this community and not a “local” I would avoid this place like the plague.

We went out to get a bite to eat. To my surprise, that was the BEST burger n curds around. It was Cooked perfectly, mouthwatering taste with the sense of home cooked with love. We will definitely be back. And the waitress was such a doll, very friendly and polite.

The atmosphere is great and I really like that there was not music blasting so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation. The food was decent, not phenomenal. I thought the burger was dry and my drink sat empty for half my meal. Not a welcoming feeling, you could tell the owner was chummy with the regulars, its one of the places that seems to not like people they don’t know. Do yourself a favor and drive a little farther for Algoma Pizza Bowl. They have the food and service perfected.

Local Bar with great food. Burgers and fish fry will not disappoint. Not on the menu, but a fun snack with beer, fresh fried pork skins. Friendly folks that make it easy to feel at home. Taking Hwy 42 to Door County, this is worth a rest stop.
