The food and atmosphere is amazing! Our family loves to stop in and see Amy, have a bite to eat, pick up supplies and ice when we’re in town. Are only complaint is that we aren’t close enough to come in every day.

We were on vacation heading up to South Dakota and wanted a bite to eat. When looking on the map in that area, there just isn’t a whole lot, but my wife found bullfrogs grill. Driving by and looking at it, we had second thoughts, but decided to give it a try. When walking in, it seems kind of scattered because it’s a small mercantile and cafe combined, but it was easy to figure out when you paused and looked around. We ordered a burger and fries, and it was a good choice. Hamburger patty wasn’t frozen, vegetables were fresh cut, and fries were homemade, nothing was premade. It’s not a quick in and out stop. Food was great. While eating, we briefly visited with Amy, the owner, cook, janitor, and wait staff. She was friendly and a testament to people living the American dream. Don’t go expecting anything fancy or elaborate, or you will be disappointed. It’s a very simple, clean, safe, and friendly place to stop. I recommend bullfrogs cafe based on our positive experience, and will gladly stop in if we ever pass that way again.

If the town had more options Bullfrogs would be long gone. But until there’s more options Bullfrogs has 70 flavors of milkshakes and they’re all made upon order. Truthfully they’re not the best. Definitely a bit thin and low on flavor.
The worst part and the sole reason we’d never visit again was the underlying smell of smoke. You’d think its 25 years in the past and smoking inside is the norm.

This is a cool little café. Amy the owner is very nice and she does an excellent job of taking care of her customers and her establishment. The food is great and its easy in and out for people coming off the interstate and people going and coming from the lake.

We came in and there was a very sweet lady cooking for a group of about 10 people by herself. She still greeting us when we came in and when she was finished cooking to food for the other group she brought it all out together and the food looked and smelled great! We all got milkshakes and everyone in our group tried a different flavor. Mine was alittle strong on the syrup but still was able to enjoy it. Overall great environment and fun little trip away from the lake.

Very friendly basic grill. The food is good and filling. The shakes are excellent. Besides the food there are basic grocery items in case you forgot something on your way to the lake. Good place to stop on your way out of town after a long weekend at the lake.

Had the smoothed breakfast burritos no flavor very bland. Menu said it was homemade green chili on it but pretty sure it was canned it also had no flavor. Maybe try using salt, pepper and spices.
