I was surprised that there weren’t many reviews yet after we finished up considering most of the food options were made in house and very tasty..
Let me start by saying how much I liked having a dark beer on tap versus the obligatory IPA that everyone seems to be on about the last bunch of years. Getting it on the cheap during happy hour was even better.. Bulldog Ale was very drinkable.
Speaking of happy hour, the appetizers were also on the cheap, but there’s nothing cheap about them. The poppers were fresh (and unbreaded for those gluten intolerant folks) with a nice heat. The crispy brussel sprouts were sophisticated, and if you’re a purist get the sauces on the side. The real star of the appetizer show was the Italian beef egg rolls.. okay it’s not authentic but it was juicy and crispy, so tasty. Got a burger (not a pre-formed frozen patty) that was cooked right and was seasoned better than average.
Portions were as expected, the tables were clean, and the music wasn’t blasting so I was able to have a normal conversation without shouting. Music was from my generation (ok I’m middle aged) but that too was pleasant and welcoming.
I’ll be coming here again as a local, I expect not only for the above but because the ice cream candy shop is across the street.. Sorry BDAH you need to step up the desert game but otherwise a decent addition to the downtown Lansing businesses.

A great dining experience! Our group was so busy talking and took forever to order but the server was very patient with us. Once we ordered, our food was served in a timely manner and was great! I’m not a hamburger person normally, but this was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, no exaggeration! My compliments to the chef. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is cozy. The drinks were good too!

Came here on a Friday night for a friend’s birthday. They were out of items before 6pm, and there were no more than 5 people there at this time. Ordered boneless wings and fries around 6:30pm, didn’t receive until 8:15, almost TWO HOURS later, with absolutely no explanation or apology. Multiple people who ordered after me received their food before me (the same meal), but theirs took over an hour as well. The bar was not at all busy during this time, we were the only group in there. The 2 bartenders were only attentive to one small section of the bar. Tried to give them a few chances but the service was really just terrible. They were very unfriendly. Ordering any drinks or asking about my food was nearly impossible. When I finally did receive my food, it was wrong. I ordered BBQ but received Buffalo, so the people I was sharing with weren’t able to eat any. The fries were literally crumbs, there was not a single fry in there longer than 2 inches. Super weird experience overall. Good atmosphere, horrible service.

I’m kicking myself for not stopping in sooner. The food here is absolutely incredible, freshly made and bursting with flavor.
We got wings and the mini burgers and were shocked at the quality. The burgers were the highlight of the trip. Freshly made patties and what honestly seemed like home made buns as well.
Definitely going back to this place.

I’ve never left a review while in an establishment. Upon entry, I was only asked “can I help you?”. There was no greeting and the bartender seemed very agitated as if it was busy. There are 3 people here besides myself and husband. She is inattentive and seemingly only speaking to another Mexican woman at the slot machines. I haven’t had bad customer experience in a while but I’ll never return here. I don’t like to use the race card but my mistreatment seems very connected to race. However, the drink special was decent for $3 for a crown mixed drink. That’s all I can say. I will NOT be back.

Drinks on the other hand definitely need some help. Tequila sunrise tasted off. Couldn’t quite Put my finger on it. Changed it to an absolute and lemonade. Eh, was a little better but not great. Tried a twisted tea. Cooler must not have been cold enough because it was more on the warm side. I’m sure this particular location will get better as all their other locations are great.

The food was great….awesome specials easy day & happy hour is a good time to go as well. I enjoyed every aspect of this place!!! Came with a friend and loved it. It’s a bit slow but hope they stay in the region!!

I was there yesterday, sept 13th. It took the bartender 10 min or so to even address me and i was seated at the bar. took about another 10 min to give my order, took 20 min to get a bowl of chili while she was eating with the patrons. she never asked how my food was, didn’t get any napkins. would not patronize this place again. I wanted to try something new.
