This cafeteria styled restaurant is located inside the Old Sturbridge Village complex. The food selection is very limited, and it is hit-and-miss when it comes to food selection. Some of the food, like the chicken pot pie, was not bad, but the pulled pork was simply awful. The mac & cheese was okay, but the onion rings were over cooked. If you want to be on the safe side, get the wrapped salad, since there is not much you can do to ruin it. The prepackaged sandwiches were just okay, especially when one is hungry. The prices are very high, especially for the quantity and quality of the food you receive. There are numerous indoor eating areas, and you should have no problem most days and times finding a table to eat at. Another thing we were not overly impressed with was the staff. They all seemed to be mechanical in their actions and no one seemed to be happy at their job or very friendly with the customers.

Stepping into the Bullard Eatery feels like a delightful pause during our visit to Old Sturbridge Village Road in Southbrigde,Massachusetts. It offers a welcome respite with its charming, slightly rustic ambience. We appreciated the hearty and comforting food, which seemed to echo the historical setting of the Village. Our sandwiches were particularly satisfying, and the service was friendly and efficient and thanks to Katelynn. It’s a great spot to refuel and soak in the historical immersion while perhaps not a destination in itself, the Bullard Eatery is a solid and convenient choice for visitors to Old Sturbridge Village looking for a tasty and fitting meal.

As others have mentioned, prices are high, food is ok. I got the Codfish meal with veggies and mac and cheese. The cod was alright but bland. My kid didn’t even finish the mac n cheese. I wished I had just gotten the soup, would have been much cheaper!

Our group showed up to an empty room with our lunch sitting on the table, getting cold. No, one was there to service and we were short three meals… However, the room had such a historic ambiance.Because if it’s age… You felt like you were back in time.

We enjoyed a wonderful buffet style Thanksgiving Dinner here on Thanksgiving day. The experience was priceless and the food was limited in choice but acceptable. The staff was friendly and in character of an 1835 New England village. Hot Mulled Cider, Turkey, Roast Beef were the highlights, along with all the sides and trimmings.

I called to be sure we could come in for lunch, and told sure. Arrived 30 minutes later to find they were hosting a conference and told we could not be seated/. They really should have advised us to make a reservation. Making do, we waited for a seat at the bar, only to find there were 2 seats available the whole time. Then multiple tables opened up, but were brusquely told by the bartender we had to ‘stay with her; my order was not right, and then we were overcharged!!!! But the food was great and the place is absolutely great! I’ll make a reservation next time! And keep an eye on the bill

The staff was so friendly and helpful. She offered gluten free choices and asked kitchen to make a change so my daughter could eat. We had turkey, fish, and beef dinners. Everything was delicious! After a cold walk it was lovely having such a nice warm “home cooked” dinner.

Surprisingly tasty fare, served cafeteria style during the busy Christmas season weekend night. Recommended you dine a bit early. At 445 there was no line, but by 545 it was packed. The turkey and stuffing was great, but the pot roast was the best ever. Enjoy!

I had a nice dinner here with my family while visiting Old Sturbridge Village for Christmas by Candlelight. We ordered pot roast, grilled vegetables, macaroni and cheese, home fries, and hot chocolate.

The service folks: super polite! The food: the Turkey sandwich was delicious, and I had never considered adding cheese to a ‘Toasted Thanksgiving’-panini.
In the future, much more drink choices and to-go prepped foods I feel would be super-helpful for the staff when the lines rush in, and also if it’s possible to get at least one more person in there because they were all working so hard and looked like they all could use another set of hands. Cheers!
