Bull & Bones Brewhaus & Grill is a locally owned brewpub with both an upscale dining room and a separate sports bar with a casual dining area. The brewpub is located in the new “First and Main” of Blacksburg on South Main Street in Blacksburg, Virginia. Fresh lager and ale is handcrafted and served on site and the brewery is visible through glass walls throughout the restaurant. Bull & Bones Brewhaus & Grill serves wood fired barbeque, ribs, chicken, seafood, steaks, and vegetarian entrees. Bull & Bones Brewhaus & Grill is one of the only establishments in the New River Valley area to have southern smoked barbeque, ribs, and assorted meats and vegetables.

I was super disappointed in our dinner tonight. We ordered the pub smash burgers. Fast food burgers are better. The cheese didn’t melt, the burgers were dry. The onion rings tasted like fish, maybe they needed to not fry in the same fryer as seafood? The homemade chips were delicious. Tried to order root beer, but they were out. They no longer have the window to watch the chef’s cook.

I dont even know what to say, im in town for work and ordered 2 times through doordash. First time I got the Cuban and Mac and cheese. The sandwich was so greasy I couldn’t eat it and the ham was burnt to a crisp. The meat on the Mac was also extremely dry and bland with no flavor. A week later I thought I’d try again but this time it was even worse. The food is either burnt to a crisp or extremely dry and has no taste. The burger was so burnt i threw it away, the quesadila had a big piece of cartilage in it. Even the damn salsa was bland.

Convenient location in nice shopping center with elevated Brewhaus sportsbar atmosphere. Delicious food, excellent cocktails & beer with quality serverice and excellent wait staff. Even on a busy Saturday VT game day, we were able to get a table with a short wait time. We’ll definitely go again next time in Blacksburg as it is close to downtown but avoids the after game downtown rush.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The chicken salad sandwich is out of this world, the lemon pepper wings OMG – delectable. Good causal spot, though we went when wasn’t crowded. The fried pickles and hush puppies were perfect for us Yankees who don’t have many southern places up north. Burgers and wings were spot on.

4 out of 5 in our party ordered different versions of the smash burgers.2 orders had rock solid hard buns, 1 order had a soft bottom bun and the last burger order was never received. We inquired about the hard bun and,were told it’s because they grill them, When asked about the omitted burger the server advised they ran out of burgers, Add that to the list of sorry we are out of that food item. The manager allowed us to order whatever we wanted off the menu and that was deducted from our bill, which was nice gesture.

I went for the first time today and I was appalled. I was served a house salad in which most of the lettuce had brown edges. I waited for almost 40 minutes for the brewhaus chicken which advertises two chicken breasts (see picture). While waiting, I could hear the kitchen staff goofing off which would’ve been fine had my $20 plate not arrived overcooked and looking like it was missing half the food. When I told the waitress (Abby) that I was unsatisfied with the food, she had a bad attitude and when she went back to the kitchen with the food, Cam started yelling and wanted to come confront me with what I wasn’t satisfied with. Finally a manager (Nick) came out and said he understood but the level of aggression and the poorly cooked food was way out of line. I’ve NEVER sent back a dish until today and I’ve never been treated so poorly in my life. This was my first visit and it was also my last.

Been here 3 times because they have a big tv to watch games. It seems like it would be a cool vibe and name. The food is absolutely terrible, the nachos are stale and cold. The burger is salty as the Atlantic and the broccoli is buttered like popcorn. Waiters/ waitress was alright, seemed like he had gotten in the devils lettuce being that he stumbled into a chair whilst bringing our drinks.

I work at Best Buy across the street and recently went out on a TV delivery, not realizing it was for the owner of the Brewhaus. He let us know the TV was actually meant to go to the Brewhaus itself, so we offered to drop it off there for him. He was super appreciative and surprised us with lunch on the haus ️
Let me tell you… the food was insane. That brisket? Straight killer Huge shoutout to the man in charge—great guy serving up amazing food. If you haven’t been yet, you gotta check it out

I’m sure the cooks were laughing when they prepared the basic chili with enough heat to melt the plate. Hey, if you’re going to serve 911-chili, at least warn your guests on the menu. No mention whatsoever. And no refund despite the fact that I tried just two teaspoons. And my wife’s fries were very burned. It looks like they were heated in the fryer a few times throughout the night as they were brittle and very dark. That was a total waste of 48 bucks.
