Alright… so here’s how this went down.
I had full plans to hit one of the THREE breakfast spots on University Drive. You know the ones. The usual heavy hitters. Pulled up… no parking. Drove to the next… packed. Third option? Not a seat in sight. At that point I was two seconds from going home and making eggs.
But instead, I did something I NEVER do — I just drove around looking for somewhere random for brunch.
And that’s how I stumbled onto Bull and Bean.
And let me tell you… the brunch gods led me to the right spot.
From the moment I walked in, the vibe was calm, cozy, and welcoming. Not overcrowded, but still buzzing with energy. The staff? Cool, friendly, and on polite
Now let’s talk food.
The croissants were AMAZING. Flaky, buttery, golden perfection. The brunch plates had some unique offerings you don’t see everywhere — smoked salmon topped with a rich, velvety sauce and capers, fresh sautéed greens, bright citrus on the side. Everything tasted fresh and intentional.
You can tell they care about what they’re serving.
Sometimes the best meals aren’t the ones you plan — they’re the ones you stumble into.
Bull and Bean was a happy accident… and I’ll absolutely be back.

If you’re new here it can be overwhelming to come in, look at a menu quickly, and have to order at a counter. The staff at the counter were ok but not very welcoming. The food came out decently quick for a early breakfast. Everything was made to order and arrived hot. The table cakes were quite large but mediocre quality. The French toast was very good, and the best thing we had. The rest of our meal was very average and not worth the price we paid for it.

Oh my god it was so good. Went here for a friends bday brunch and it was so delicious. I got 2 main breakfast options bc they both looked really good and an iced latte. We sat outside and it’s a covered patio in front of the restaurant.

I tried this location two or three times and was left unsatisfied several years ago. I returned this week with family, two adults and two small children, and everyone left happy. The pancakes are great, all the staff we interacted with were polite and helpful, the breakfast plates are heavy on the serving size. Some locations have breakfast plates with a small serving of eggs, small sausage, tiny servings. This location keeps things in line with what I expect of a breakfast restaurant. If you’ve been away for a while I’d recommend returning!

I’m not sure how long they’ve been here, but I’m mad that I haven’t tried them sooner! We had the Italian breakfast skillet and the crab cake benny. Both dishes were absolutely amazing! Fresh ingredients and full of flavor! Don’t forget to try a special iced latte!

The food was good and the staff were friendly. It’s was really busy on a Sunday brunch morning but there was this one high-top table that was open. It was open because the chairs were so close to the table that even my 8 year olds legs couldn’t fit under it. Management – lovely table, great chairs, let’s just move that table up several inches so it’s usable and you don’t have to eat your meal at a 90 degree angle.

Andrea with Offline – Went right after they opened on Sunday morning for breakfast! You order at the counter, get a number, and then find a seat — I actually really like this setup since it lets you just relax and enjoy your food once it’s ready. We tried the açaí bowl, bagel with cream cheese, and the Hangover Cure sandwich. Everything came out super fast and tasted incredibly fresh! The place started filling up quickly by around 9 AM, so it’s clearly a local favorite. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

We love Bull and Bean! It’s a great spot for brunch on the weekends. Every seasonal oat milk latte I’ve had there has been delicious, and I love being able to get a smoked salmon meal! I also appreciate being able to get turkey sausage as an option here. Would love to see a GF English muffin option in the future for Benedicts 🙂

Almost $8 for a small latte with non-dairy milk… this is insane. After that, I didn’t really feel like ordering any food. My limited interactions with some of the staff didn’t give me much motivation to come back either. This was my first and last time visiting this coffee shop.
