My first time at the kava bar was honestly one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. I had no idea places like this even existed. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the atmosphere welcoming, relaxed, and unlike anything else.

The staff is absolutely incredible and truly makes the experience what it is. Huge thank you to Aimee, Nick, Joey, and Cody for being so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely awesome. They make everyone feel comfortable and at home.

I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re even a little curious, you owe it to yourself to try it at least once but fair warning, you might just get pulled into the vortex and keep coming back!

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. Bula is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you can feel it the warmth, the authenticity, and the genuine sense of community. The people I’ve met here have become some of my closest friends, and that alone speaks volumes about the environment Bula has created.

Everyone here is incredibly kind, welcoming, and caring especially the kava tenders. Nick, Aimee, Joey, and Cody are not only professional and extremely knowledgeable, but they also take the time to truly care about each individual on a personal level. That kind of sincerity is rare, and it makes all the difference.

I’ve been sober for 9 months, and Bula has played a huge role in helping me stay that way. This place has reminded me that there are still genuine people and businesses in the world places that prioritize connection, compassion, and community over everything else. I have never felt so respected, supported, and valued at an establishment. From day one, I’ve felt welcomed, safe, and truly part of the Bula family.

Being able to socialize, have deep and meaningful conversations, and still wake up remembering the entire night is such a beautiful thing. On top of that, the teas are absolutely delicious crafted with care and clearly made by people who love what they do.

I also had the opportunity to meet the owner, Ross, and it’s clear he has built something truly remarkable. He’s not your typical owner he genuinely gives everyone his time and attention, and that energy flows throughout the entire place. There is zero stress, zero negativity, and absolutely no ego here. Just calm vibes, kindness, and pure positivity. Management and kava tenders alike bring nothing but patience, respect, and good energy every single day.

Bula is a sanctuary. A place to relax, connect, heal, and just be. I cannot say enough good things about it.

Thank you, Bula, for everything. 100/10 beyond perfection!!

Hands down an incredible spot!!! They have something for everyone to sip on while you’re chillin’ and enjoying the day/evenings. Kava, botanical teas, coffee, kombucha (local brewed), and all the flavor addins. Then add to it that all the staff are amazing and make you feel welcomed!!! All the ‘tenders are the best and remember my bougie order and my name. The owner is usually around interacting and chatting it up with folks too. There are heaters for when it’s cold and fans for when it’s hot as heyll. Outdoor seating, indoor seating and a nice new area reminiscent of Bula on the Beach (that was lost to Milton so they recreated an area for it). Clearly the owner cares about his customers, but you feel more like family than just a customer. No food currently but there are rumors, so stay tuned. The other folks hanging out add to the charm, friendly, kind, offering smiles and just good energy. Plus, it’s super dog friendly, there are always dogs around to love on. The place is just magickal, where the vibes and energy and the best!!! You just need to stop in to experience it for yourself!

Tea good. Kava pretty good. Music sucks way too loud couldn’t even talk some loud jazz or rock. Servers on their phones ignoring customers. Came here 8 years ago loved it, stopped back in town last week – disappointed. Hope they can restore cultire that birthed the culture of kava. Use to have fun and chat with others, can’t talk over loudness anymore and wait too long.

Bula Kava Bar is one of the little gems in St. Petersburg. Nice outdoor atmosphere serving numerous non-alcoholic options including coffee, espresso beverages, kombucha, cacao, kava and more. For years this place has provided me with a place to hang out with an alternative to regular bars. The crowd is a mixture of all ages and walks of life making it easy to make new connections. While the staff itself is all great, love getting to hang out here when Connor, Dave and Faith are working. They run some great shifts and make it welcoming for all. While I still enjoy my nights out downtown at the bars, given I work from home, this place gives a nice get of the house hang out!

I wandered into this St. Pete kava bar bracing for yet another “artisanal beverage experience” run by people who say vibe as a verb. Shockingly, I was wrong.

The atmosphere was soothing in that “I could nap here and no one would question it” way. Very on-brand for a place serving earthy potions that taste like someone whispered relax into a bowl of mud.

The kava itself delivered a charming lip tingle, like being gently electrocuted by a fairy. Moments later, I was calmer than Johnny after his third glass of wine at a town meeting.

The staff? Relentlessly kind. So kind, in fact, I briefly wondered if they were part of an undercover wellness cult. If so, sign me up as your onboarding process is immaculate.

In short: Sublime. Restorative. And far better than I expected from a place that looks like it was decorated by a Pinterest board with commitment issues.

Bula!

Great coffee and a really welcoming vibe. The espresso is smooth, well-balanced, and clearly made by people who actually care about quality. Easy place to relax, sit for a bit, and enjoy a properly made cup. Definitely a go-to coffee stop.
