Staff gathered around reception a girl didn’t acknowledge we had booked, took us to our table.
We sat there for at least 10 minutes before the table next to us went and asked for service. One of us then did the same and said they were all chatting at the desk.
Had to ask for water a menu etc. Didn’t listen to requests.
Im posting this for management to address this problem.
Otherwise food was very good.
The Pad Thai is truly amazing, with the addition of peanuts and salad on the side, makes the experience amazing. If you love spicy, try to request it with sliced thai chillies.
Hokkien Mee is the other thing that I’d comeback to Tamworth just to re-order it, and bring it inside the train for lunch. It was saucy and the noodles absorb the flavors very well, recommend it with sliced thai chillies as well.
One thing to be noted is because it’s pretty busy, please don’t be shy to re-tell your requests as it can get mixed up, so you will have an amazing experience there
Or chose from a variety of noodles, stir fry and salads from the main menu.
Overall pleasant experience with quality and taste.
Will be back for sure.
We were ready to write this place off after ordering and paying and then being told it would be 20 minutes for our takeaway order to be ready, only to wait over an hour!! Plus other people who ordered after my husband and I, got their food before us! I was pretty annoyed and let the staff know they need to advise people up front how long the wait is. All the other customers waiting for takeaway and the dine in were making the same comments so we were not alone.
However, when we finally got our order and got home to eat it, we were blown away with the freshness, flavours and home madeness – even the money bags where seemingly made from scratch as opposed to store bought.
It was due to the quality of the food that we would order at Buk Choy again but on busy nights eg weekends you need to do so well in advance and don’t expect equitable queuing (ie first, in best dressed).
The dine in availability is very small and so is the kitchen itself.
