Prime Rib Dinner on a Saturday Date Night.
Service was slow. Chalked that one to Covid-19. The Prime Rib was absolutely delicious!!! Wish the auju would’ve been hotter and they needed fresh horseradish.
It was creamy there supplier hadn’t been there so they purchased creamy at the store. At least they are trying. Besides Covid-19 screwing things up. We will go there again. Staff was friendly and appreciated that for sure.. Reasonably priced

Food was great, but service was kind of hit and miss. Our waitress did a good job, made sure our drinks were filled, was pleasant, and corrected any issue that came up very quickly. Was a little irritated that they were out of St Louis ribs, and a few small things like cheese was missing from the hashbrowns or the bread that never arrived until after the meal.

All and all, the good well outweighed the bad, and the friendliness of the staff made up for any shortcomings.

Nice and clean. Food was fast and hot. We both got brisket and it was pretty good. You could tell it had been sitting a little bit or had to be reheated as it had lost its “smoked” look. Really great burger for my son. We will be back again!

6 total tables filled up. Arrived at 8:06pm. Ordered our food within 15 mins of being there. 9:08 we finally got our food…. There were many others complaining about the time that it took. Our waitress was very nice and polite. Hoping after our terrible experience 3 years ago that things would be different. Unfortunately that was not the case. We are unsure we will be back….hoping this helps coach and train the staff to be accommodating to the customers. We Believe the owners or managers were sitting at the bar 6 feet from us.

They make some of their own BBQ sauces which are pretty awesome.

Prices were great, staff was friendly, and they got us our food pretty quick over a busier than normal lunch hour.

Could use a few more beer choices! Not bad overall though.

Good food, good atmosphere. Depending on the time of day you arrive the service is either slow or right on queue. Slow time is 2 servers peak is around 4. Only had one time where food ordered was bad. It was a tenderloin. The edges were over crispy and the center was raw. Oil was too hot I assume. Other than that, every other time we chose to dine there it was fantastic!

The mushroom caps were a nice surprise because they weren’t fried but smoked maybe? Unique and yummy. The sauce on them wasn’t as described as I think they forgot the peppercorns. The smoke flavor was prominent but not over powering. Generous portion of ribs. The BBQ sauce wasn’t remarkable but I’m sure it appeals to a wide group. The beans and coleslaw were average. Lastly, my food wasn’t very hot.

My wife & I went to Bufords before attending the Iowa Central play last Friday evening. We stood at the stand waiting to be seated about 5 minutes then were greeted and asked if we wanted a table or booth. We chose booth and the waitress said she didn’t know if they had one open (there were about 6 tables and booths occupied in the entire place) so she proceeded to stop a waiter and ask him where to seat us; he told her to put us anywhere and they would figure out whose table it was later. My wife ordered a sandwich and side salad & I ordered a sandwich and steak fries. It took 35 minutes to get our order and my fries were ice cold and the sandwich bun was hard on the edges. The sandwiches were just OK, nothing to write home about and our service was mediocre to say the least. It had been quite a while since we had been there (before new management took over) and we won’t be going back. The old menu had many other options and choices on it compared to this menu and the new menu has quite a few things that we questioned what they were (Cowboy Caviar for example) and others that don’t seem like people would go to a restaurant in Fort Dodge, IA to order (Truffle Fries). We are open to new ideas and expanding our tastes; however, the poor service and quality of food WILL KEEP US AWAY!!!!
