I had such a great experience here today! The food was amazing — everything was very well prepared and absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very welcoming.
The bathroom was not only beautiful but also very clean, which I really appreciated.
For the price we paid, the buffet is totally worth it. You can eat as much as you want, and the quality is excellent.

SO I WENT HERE 2 TIMES I got it to go 2 time but got damn next time I’m going in to eat
1st time
1st glance this restaurant is gorgeous plenty of parking in a big shoping center the sign was huge, Mayne hold luppp all you see is everyone happy and walking out with ice cream cones fully as can be, walking in you see this huge ship in crystals and it smelled good as hell it was like 4 people waiting and like 3 workers to the left it’s a huge picture it was amazing they asked was I her for a pick I said yes and showed them my order I asked could i look on the inside they said yes so I peaked on the in it was huge and smelled so damn good my order came and I got home and Mayne hold luppp everything was a foolywooly the rice chicken it was alot and good Mayne hold luppp
The 2nd time
Staff still nice still smelled amazing ot w a s like 5 people ahead of me this 1 customer energy was bad causing the vibes to be off I was ready to get my food it was making the staff upset we for our food and let me say it wasn’t as good as the 1st time thats why I gave them a 4 but this place was great you should come here

Unfortunately, this buffet missed the mark. I thought with 3.8 star review on Google the food would be pretty good but the greenbeans had a creamy thick coating on them, my chicken from the hibachi fell apart after being cooked, my 5 year old said the jello didn’t even taste good and said “Ours is better at home” Overall I’ve had way better for the same price. Finally even the ice cream was really flavorless. The vanilla almost looked like a nice consistency and clear-ish.
Now the service was great, our server kept our plates clean off the table and refilled our drinks in a timely manner. I wish the food was as good as the service.

First impression Buffet King is nice and clean for an affordable buffet. We were there early and the food all looked hot and fresh. The sushi was good. Especially the salmon. Everything I tried was pretty good for an affordable buffet. It is definitely worth a try.

I’ve been a huge fan of Max and his crew at Buffet King since their grand opening, 15 years ago. The food is always fresh, the restaurant (including restrooms) are clean, and the service is friendly. I’ve tried most of the Chinese buffets in Austin and nowhere comes close. Over the years, we have had countless gatherings and parties here–it’s an excellent venue and is centrally located in Austin. Although we no longer live in Austin, we always make a point of stopping here for a meal when we’re in the area.
