Buffet China in North Vernon is a solid spot when you’re craving Chinese food. The buffet has a nice variety — everything from the classics like General Tso’s chicken and lo mein to some good fried rice and crab rangoons. The food was fresh and hot when I went, and you can tell they keep things rotated pretty well.
The staff was friendly and quick to clear plates, which I always appreciate at a buffet. The place itself is clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but definitely inviting.
If I had one small gripe, it’s that a few items could’ve used a bit more seasoning or heat, but overall, it’s a great local option for the price. You leave full, happy, and not feeling like you broke the bank. Definitely worth stopping by when you’re in town!

Came here the other day and found a MAGGOT in my broccoli. I was very nice about it too. I brought my plate up to someone working up front and told them the situation. They just said “okay”. Offered no refund, discount, no apology..nothing. I paid for it..do NOT eat here ya’ll.

I have eaten hear a couple times in the past with the last time probably over 6 months ago and it was just okay. This time I was very impressed. The food was delicious. I don’t know if it’s the time of day 5:30 that I hit it or if they change cooks or owners but it was very good.

I love it here! Been a regular here for a while now, their food and drinks are the best in the area (^ᴗ^✿) With the grill returning, it’s even better. I highly recommend trying it at least once!

I have pretty low standards when it comes to cheap Chinese food, and my bar is somewhere around, “don’t get food poisoning”. Well something I had that night turned me into the infamous toilet demolisher at a wedding the next day. It was a rough night, but I did end up feeling completely cleaned out and ready to start anew.
Also, they badly need to clean the aquarium up front. Those poor fish are swimming in a perpetual PNW foggy morning.

When reading some of the other reviews you’ll see people really enjoying this place and calling it their top pick pretty much. I don’t get the hype I guess, I have to give three stars. The host/hostess was unfriendly really and the service was shotty. Took a long time to get a refill on my drink and the food well… Let’s just simply go with mediocre. It wasn’t blast your taste buds awesome, but definitely wasn’t throw up on the first bite. Very clean and comfortable establishment though! Which almost tends to be rare anymore. And I personally think it was a tad on the expensive side for what it was.. my opinion. Finally… My fortune sucked and my wife’s fortune was stupid. I’d say try it for yourself ultimately.

I travel for work and love to try out the buffets in all the different towns I go and this place is definitely one of my favorite Chinese Buffets. The food is almost always fresh and the dishes are full of flavor. They stay busy so the food isn’t old or just sitting for hours which is nice. And the staff are always very kind. 🙂

I stopped in for a quick lunch and ended up eating half of the restaurant. It was good and plenty to choose from. There are 2 main food aisles and then a dessert isle for fruit, tapioca pudding and other stuff. Then there is a smaller baked goods isle. I didn’t try any of those but I did try the fresh fruit. And the tapioca pudding was really good. If you want it they have an ice cream freezer with four buckets of different flavors. I will go back as it was clean and the food was fresh and well prepared.
