We stopped going here for a while but decided to come back. We have been here a few times now over the past few months and the place seems to have been a lot better. The food has been very good, except one time where the server messed up my order but it was simple mistake and not a big deal. The accidental item would have been ok but it was drowning in sauce. The service can be a little slow but the servers have been really nice while you wait. I wish the app worked a bit better but that obviously isn’t the stores fault.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the Buffalo Wild Wings location in Rapid City. As someone who genuinely enjoys visiting Buffalo Wild Wings with my family in many other towns and cities, I had hoped this location would live up to the friendly service and efficient experience we’ve come to expect. Unfortunately, this has not been the case.
For the third visit in a row, we had to wait for over an hour for our food. This last time we waited for an hour and a half. This is simply unacceptable, especially when dining with children. On our previous visit, my kids were so exhausted from waiting that they actually started to fall asleep in their chairs. The waitress did bring us a side item to apologize, which I appreciated, so I decided to give this location another chance. Sadly, the situation has not improved.
I believe this store needs something to change—whether it’s new management, new cooks, or a complete overhaul of operations, I’m not sure. But as it stands, I cannot continue bringing my family here and hoping for a better experience. It’s disappointing to see a brand I love let us down time and time again.
I sincerely hope you will take these concerns seriously and take steps to improve service and efficiency at the Rapid City location.
2 adults 4 children. As always, a Simple order 30 traditional wings 2 cups of macaroni and a side of potato wedges.
Thank you for your attention.

I believe in honest reviews and take them seriously—I’m in the top 10% of Google’s reviewers. My policy is to be objective and leave emotion out of any review I post.

On this day, I met with Renee for a small business meeting. We ordered food and drinks, and our server was absolutely awesome—a young, friendly girl with a big smile. Unfortunately, I forgot to get her name.

As we started our conversation over drinks—my beer and Renee’s margarita—we were enjoying ourselves when the young man who had welcomed us at the door and seated us suddenly returned. Without saying a word, he removed my beer glass and walked away. I was stunned. I still had about an inch of beer left. In shock, I looked at Renee and asked, “Did you see that?” He didn’t ask if I was done or even check the glass.

While we were still talking about what had just happened, the same man returned and reached for Renee’s glass—lifting it with two fingers, his middle finger inside the glass and pointer on the outside, like tweezers. Renee quickly reacted, saying, “Hey—I’m not done!” She had at least two inches of margarita left. He set the glass back down and said, “Oh, sorry, I thought it was just melted ice,” and walked off.

Otherwise, I wouldn’t hesitate to say he came off as unpleasant. The two-star rating reflects the balance—saved only by the excellent service of our kind waitress.

Online says open until 11pm, on their door says open until 11pm. Arrived before 10 pm and the front doors were locked. Worker inside saw people pulling on the door and ignored everyone. Waited until everyone left for their vehicles then came out, got in their car and left. Lights on and tvs on but doors are locked?? Not sure what’s going on but if you’re gonna lock up before 11 you should change your Google and times on your door ‍♀️ lights look off in the picture, walk up to the door and they’re all on…

I have never had such terrible service at a restaurant in my life. We were told to move tables, and we waited 60 minutes for our appetizer and 75 minutes for our food. All I got was water and twenty boneless wings. The people who took our table left 25 minutes before us. Don’t waste your time here. I had to go up to several employees to tell them we had been waiting for over an hour, and none of them apologized (only that all the tables were taking 45 minutes). The waitress only filled our cups after all were empty.
Noticeably, my boneless wings were all tiny and cold. Never going back.

The absolute worst customer service. Came in for dinner (01/06/26) was seated in a booth (86) and was completely surrounded and smothered by other patrons. I looked around and noticed several open booths and tables on the other side of the restaurant. Being a recently separated veteran with PTSD, I requested to be sat at another table away from everyone. (Side note, I will never understand why restraunts sit everyone so close together when there is a whole restraunt).

Anyways, the hostess said “No” this was my only option, and said they sit by servers. This is the only restraunt I have ever been to that would not accommodate a request like this. I requested to speak with a manager. A female approached wearing jeans, and baggy, worn-out hoodie (apparel that is not professional or looks like any manager I have ever seen. The employee looks more professional than this manager. She really could have been someone off the street by appearance).

After speaking with and explaining to the manager, she stated “That’s the way we do things here”. I questioned what about the customer, and making them feel comfortable while dining, this was about the time an unknown server (with a full beard) inserted he option and stated “Thats how we do it. If you don’t like it, you could just leave and not come back”. We’ll, you don’t have to tell me twice not to come back!

This comment completely took me by surprise and I told them my money would be used somewhere else. Upon my exit, I was met with a condescending tone from both the hostess and manager saying “bye”. I will say the server who’s section I was originally placed, he did approach while I was waiting for the manager to see if I was taken care of and he would have been the ONLY respectable individual there. He deserves better than this business. (Wish I would have gotten names).

We ended up going to Wings and Rings (5622 Sheridan Lake Rd.) who were more than welcoming and accommodating. With behavior like this and seeing the recent reviews, I will not be patronize this business, clearly my money is better spent elsewhere especially in an economy like this.

Raw chicken strips. Didn’t even realize until after I had already swallowed a chewy bite. Bartender wearing a rams jersey was super nice even though handling an agitating customer via phone. Burger was good but chicken strips need to be temped before serving if that’s the norm according to a worker

Ordered food for the family, got home, and realized they forgot my kids’ fries. We shared some of ours with him, so all was OK. Food tasted decent, but it was cold after my 7-minute drive home. A few days later, we decided to give it another go because we wanted to try some other menu items. I decided to check the bag this time and saw they forgot my wife’s burger, son’s burger, and both kids’ apple juices. They got the missing items for me, and I left 16 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready. By the time I got home (7 minutes), everything was stone cold because of the long wait. When we got it all out, the boneless wings we ordered were barely sauced. Some of them had nothing on them at all, and we didn’t order anything dry. The wings were hard as rocks, either being old or very overcooked. My wife ordered her burger without the hot peppers on it, and it was loaded with them. Even with removing them at home she could still feel the heat. After one bad experience and another extremely bad experience, we decided we won’t be ordering from here again, and will make sure we let friends and family know to avoid it.

Y’all better fire Robert ASAP. This dude threw a temper tantrum for 15 minutes. He came outside 3 times and screamed because he was upset he was understaffed. He threw my food at me and gave me attitude because he forgot to hand me half my order. Upon pickup, we grabbed what we were handed and left in a hurry to feed our people. I admitted we shouldve checked our order, but in good faith we trusted it was correct and left. His response to that was “i never trust anybody” and he stormed off. He called me a “SIMP” because I had to coach him on how to do his job. He sent his manager, Tiana to us who was well mannered and complacent. Thank you to HER for doing what she could. This guy needs to be locked up though. Crazy. He even came out the side door and yelled at us when we walked out. Absolutely mental. Someone send them help. I shouldve gotten video of this guy but I’d probably end up ruining his entire future if i posted what he did. Complaining about a “tip” on takeout… lol.

Great place to watch sports. Burger was crisp; buns were a little soft, but didn’t fall apart; some veggies; fries were thin & crispy. Wings were flavorful.; tater tots were soft. $20 for the Pick 6 was a great price for 2 meals.
