We hadn’t dined here in a while, and not much has changed. The food was ok. Our server seemed disengaged, no drink refills and no plate service as expected. Overall, customer service could be better. We’ll likely take a break before returning.

This BWW in Champlin, MN has the capability of being a good restaurant but has lacked management for at least the last year now. We’ve been in here a few times and it’s always just “Ok”. This time in as we were seated, we were told “Our kitchen is backed-up, can I take your order now?” We said no! And after a short while we made our order, it came out quicker than most places. I had ordered a wine, a Cab, it was good so I ordered another… were out, how about the other Cab on the menu… were out (starting to feel like I was in the movie “The Santa Clause”), so I ordered a Blue Moon. Short staffed, but they were training someone, so that’s good, but not focusing on the actual customers standing behind them waiting to be recognized.
I ordered the “Spicy Chicken Dippers” and Onion Rings. They arrived hot and a good taste with a slight heat (2 out of 10), seemed slightly over cooked, a bit dry. Onion rings were good. Took a while to get the wine off my bill that I didn’t receive, but it was removed. That night, my wife and I paid for it again, stomach pain most of the night, I had given her two of my chicken fingers and a onion ring to try. I don’t know if it was the dry rub, I’ve had hot things up to a 9 out of 10 for me and never had an issue. I don’t know if we’ll be back unless we see a sign “Under New Management”. We’ve been to others and most are great for fast-food style chicken!

I’m livid!!!! I put in an order that was supposed to be ready for pick-up at 7:30pm. I arrived ready to grab it at the stated time, she asked me for my name. She opened up the food warmer shelf and didn’t see my order. I was told it will be ready in about 10 minutes. So I came back in 10 minutes. Still not ready. I asked her to double check the food warmer, and she did a super quick glance and said it wasn’t there. I’m a nice person, and I was sweet to her believing it wasn’t her fault, that it was the kitchen’s fault. They’re understaffed, it’s busy, etc. but after having waited 40 minutes and watching everyone who got there after me get their orders before me, I started to sense that something was very wrong. The girl disappeared for like 5 minutes so I decided to take it upon myself to check the food warmer, and THERE it is! MY ORDER! The ONLY order in there. So I grabbed it and left at 8:19pm. The receipts on my orders stated my order was ready at 7:27pm. There was another receipt in the bag that said it was ready at 7:00pm. You have got to be kidding me!! I told you to double check the food warmer, and you can’t even do your job! This was not on the kitchen. This was not on the managers. This isn’t even on Buffalo Wild Wings. This was on the cashier working the take-out corner. Young, brown hair, 1/17/26 7:30-8:20pm.

We’ve tried picking up here a few different times. Food is never ready when it says. Not even close. Typically 30min to 1 hr late.
In-store eating is a ghost town but management never has enough working for order pickups or takeout. It’s actually kind of baffling. Currently been waiting 40 min past my pickup time and there are 15 different people all waiting for their to-go orders

Update: After 45 min past pickup time I was informed they’re out of the sauce ordered. Order finished 55 min past pickup time.
Whoever the red-haired girl doing pickups was; y’all need to pay her triple because without her it likely would’ve been 90 min past.

This is a first. I’ve been coming to BWW in Champlin since moving here a year ago. I liked their mushroom swiss burger, I got it every time, but this time not so much. I always ordered it medium rare to medium but this evening it came to me hammered, extremely well done and not juicy at all. I brought it to the waitresses attention, who was very nice, and she in turn informed the manager, Samantha. Samantha came over and when I told her the issue she told me that they only have smash burgers and I would never get it done the way I wanted. I told her I had on previous occasions and her reply was the she apologized that everyone previously had not followed the rules/regulations. I say, at least they had a happy returning customer whereas now, Ms. Samantha has lost my business here at the BWW Champlin location.

The food is good as usual for a Buffalo Wild Wings but the service is atrocious. We have been multiple times where we get seated and ignored for 20-30 min. When we do get someone to take our order it takes forever for food and drinks to come out and the food is usually cold. You can’t get a refill to save your life. Last night my family went again and at first the server was great, food and drinks came out in a reasonable time (food was a little cold) but not the end of the world. After we got our food we didn’t see our waiter again the rest of the night. I had food I wanted to take home and I didn’t because I just wanted to pay the bill and leave. We had to pay the bill on the table tablet and we didn’t want that because we had promo discounts on some food but we just had to get out of there.
My family and I won’t ever return to this BWW, we will drive 20 minutes out of our way to go to a different one.

Went out to lunch with my son for his birthday. The waitress we had was so friendly and on top of everything. (Apps, drinks, food) It’s been a while since we had a server go above and beyond. Thank you for all your hard work.
Update: Ordered dinner tonight 05/10/23 and had the worst experience I have ever had. The food was so dry and flat out nasty. We of course ordered delivery and wasn’t there. If I wanted to be this disappointed I would have gotten a gas station hot dog.

Blonde lady with the bun was the best…great customer service and patience with our large party. However y’all need some more staff! That’s probably why we had awkward wait times, parts of people orders coming out far apart, the thirst for refills, and the list could go on, but and I’ll leave it at that! I rarely write reviews, but the service was just so bad, I couldn’t let this one slide. I stopped here to eat with my family for dinner. I had been at this location once before a few years ago without incident. The first issue was being seated at a table near the door, and it was freezing outside, so we were cold the entire time we were there. There were plenty of other tables away from the door, but they put us near the door. We just let that go. The next issue is after we were seated, no server came to our table for at least 10-15 minutes. I saw other people get served who were seated after us, so I knew we were forgotten. I tracked down some server and explained that we were missed, so the server decided to serve us. The server brought us water, and we ordered at that time. I asked if they still had a certain alcoholic drink that used to be on the menu and the server didn’t know, but would check on it and let me know. The server never checked and never let me know. Anyway, We ordered two chicken type platters, which both come with fries. We also ordered something else on the side. The side item was delivered first, but our two platters took 45 minutes to arrive. These were two simple chicken wing/tender platters with fries. Like, this is stuff you can get at Canes and Wingstop in 5 minutes. I honestly don’t know how it could take that long to make basic chicken tenders/wings with fries. When we did get our food, one of the platters didn’t have the fries, just the chicken. The server said that the side was coming later, which we thought were the fries. When she came later, she brought the same side item we had already received earlier. We told the server that the platter comes with fries, so that’s what was missing. We finally got the fries. So in a nutshell, we were ignored when we were seated. The food took 45 minutes to arrive, our order was missing food, and the server didn’t follow up on a simple request. Plus the pay station at the table was messed up and had to be fixed. And all of this when the restaurant wasn’t even busy but about half full. This will be the LAST time going to this location. Just frustrating. I couldn’t wait to leave.
