Reviews
So far I’ve only been to THREE locations of Buffalo Wild Wings with my very first being in Foley, AL, the second being in Hattiesburg, MS and the third being this location in Laurel, MS. Unfortunately, I have to say this location is definitely falling into third place so far based on my experience of the food and service. Everything is really slow here from putting your food order in to getting a beer. The other locations of this chain I’ve visited seem to do things SUPER fast… like nearly impossibly fast which leads me to guess that they already have a lot of food already cooked and ready to go. This location seems to rarely get as crowded as the locations in Foley and Hattiesburg so due to that observation I’m guessing they can’t have as much food already cooked and ready to go as the far more busy locations I’ve visited.
The continuing issue I’ve had at other Buffalo Wild Wings locations also exists here in that they only have mustard in packets and no mustard in a squeeze bottle which seems ridiculous in a place that is founded on having a gazillion versions of sauce! They really need to add a huge new selection of mustard sauce options such a spicy creole mustard, a tangy German mustard, French Dijon mustard etc. etc. There are so many versions of mustard across the world that it just seems negligent of BWW to not have more mustard and mustard sauce options. They literally serve pretzel knots at BWW which are begging for a German mustard! I’ve sent messages and emails to BFF corporate inquiring about the mustard issue but have never gotten a response…
Every worker seemed to be in a bad mood.
Our waitress took our order. Then we had to chase her down for extra drinks. So much so, we were ready to pay and we were still waiting on a drink.
A patron at the bar said it was common for this BW.
The server that brought us our food almost threw it on the table.
Not going back.
I stood next to one for a while before the bartender eventually looked my way. When I asked about the pick up area, they pointed me back to where the person was sitting. I stood there for a good bit while workers wandered around looking disinterested. Eventually someone came over to ask about our order. Both the other person, and I, gave our names, and they went to go check. They came back to say that the orders were being bagged at that time. That person that spoke with us appeared to be the only one that seemed to be doing anything but chatting with other workers. They actually seemed to be productive while so many were lounging around. A few more minutes later, someone came out to bring the first persons order. They looked like they either just woke up, or were ill and asked to come in despite being that way. I haven’t seen someone with such a desire to not be where they were at that time. They mumbled something to the other customer when they pointed out that their drinks weren’t with the order. They managed to muster up enough energy to get that taken care of so that customer could leave. Several minutes later, they walked out like a zombie, slowly placed my order on the counter, and wandered off without ever speaking a word, or even remotely trying to make eye contact.
When I got back to the hotel I was staying at, at least the food order was correct, albeit not really hot, but more lukewarm. The food was decent enough in that condition, so I added a star for that. They did get my drink order wrong though. I asked for iced tea, but I guess that was my mistake because I foolishly thought it would be sweet tea. Oh how wrong I was when I took a sip as it was unsweetened iced tea. They didn’t even offer me anything to sweeten it with. Also, rather than the 20 minutes I was quoted for the pick up from delivery time, it was closer to half an hour. I could understand a delay if the place was packed, but while I was there I counted more staff than customers. I really guess I learned my lesson from this first time visit, and I will certainly not waste my time here again. I’m not trying to say that staff should pretend that they like working there, but at least make some percentage of effort that you are alive enough to be there, or if you see someone wandering around, try to acknowledge them to see what they need.
