Reviews
1) stood waiting to be seated for 5 minutes as the sign said to wait to be seated. When someone finally appeared, she told us to go ahead and take a seat wherever we wanted. That was frustrating!
2) once seated, we waited at least five minutes for a wait person to greet us.
3) I asked for a glass for my beer. They came back after a while with a plastic glass with ice as they said the bartender was busy and couldn’t get a glass.
4) we ordered the five grilled dippers. There were five little chunks of chicken, but they were not normal size chicken fingers. I said something to the waitress and she just asked if we wanted to have them cooked again. Didn’t offer us anything off our bill or for the manager to come over or an apology. The chicken fingers at Parkers gas station look better than these things!
5) we got buffalo sauce, but it didn’t taste as good as it used to be; more vinegary maybe…
6) had to ask for napkins and silverware. And, silverware was plastic in a little bag with a napkin.
7) had to ask for drink refills once we could catch the eye of the wait person.
8) as we waited and ate, we looked around at dirty tables and debris on the floor. No pre-bussing of tables…, and our cans, empty glasses and trays sat on the table until we left despite the wait person walking by….multiple times.
8) when they picked up our check there was no “have a good night” etc.
I think we are done trying to love BWW.
The food is hit or miss, the customer service is really bad (the best service I’ve gotten in the last 3 years was from a brand new employee).
It feels dead in there. Like it’s surprisingly empty every time I go, I think locals in Beaufort don’t come here, I think it’s mostly out of town folks who expect it’s not going to be as bad as it is. It’s really bad. Not saying you won’t have a good experience here, just that there’s really no telling what to expect. It’s always a gamble.
Because the service is so absolutely dismal, the few times a year I go here I usually place to-go orders, but this most recent time they tried to charge me for “extra wet.” Never been charged for that before, and unless something changed in the last couple of months, I don’t think that’s the corporate policy? But hey who cares that’s no big deal. Well, then I go to actually pick up my order, and somehow 10 of the 30 wings we ordered weren’t even in the bag, AND none of them had sauce on them, the sauce was in little cups. How is that even possible? We ordered 30 boneless wings and we got 20 chicken nuggets. Nuts. Went back in to ask the store to make it right and yeah, somehow they’re upset that we’re asking for… what we paid for?
I’ve even spoken to former employees who now work at other restaurants in Beaufort and they say it’s a management problem. Idk what the problem is but the food here is really hit or miss, sometimes it takes like 40+ minutes for the food to come out, when nobody is in the restaurant. Super weird. The staff isn’t very friendly at all.
Would love to change my review to 5 stars if this improved but it’s been like this for at least 4 years and it’s sad because BWW used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Now I just go to wingstop instead. Wingstop is fantastic, right across the street, and has never once messed up an order.. they’re also very nice. I think I’m done giving this location a chance sadly. I’d rather drive to Bluffton and take a gamble there, it really can’t be worse than this
Then i called back to complain and they put me on hold and never came back.
Burgers were delicious, tater tots were perfect but only a handful.
Service was moderate.
