After we were seated, it took between 10-15 minutes before our server came to greet us and ask for our drinks. Mind you… the time was needed since we were pretty indecisive about our appetizer and drinks- so the wait did not bother us one bit.
What DID bother us was the simple fact that we were not given napkins. We simply used the towelettes that were placed on the table. At first I was confused since I had never been somewhere with no napkins or silverware. I chopped it up to, “Maybe because it’s a wings place? Maybe that’s why we only have mini, tiny towelettes/”wet ones” and no silverware?”
As time went by, I looked around and noticed there were people eating with silverware. So if theres silverware, then there would be napkins, correct? Sure enough, I stopped another passersby and asked her for napkins- which she quickly brought to us.
Silverware? At this time there was no point since we had sat and ate our appetizer (including the boneless wings) with our fingers. True finger food experience I guess.
Though our waitress did come and check up on us through out dinner time, I had lost my appetite shortly after recieving my food after experiencing the large amount of grease dripping off my burger and sogged up the burger buns (picture). The onion rings- sweet but didn’t have that crunch. Maybe I’ll just go and get some Burger King next time. Better yet- grill up my own burger at home instead. Luckily the appetizer dish was satisfying enough.
Not too long before we left, the same waitress came out and gave a couple that were seated not too far from us napkins with their drinks.
What’s that all about? It inwardly made me sigh. How ridiculous.
So note to self: never go to this napkinless and silverware deprived restaurant again.
Also- drinks for $15 each is totally not worth it. If you drink beer, it’ll be a better deal for you. Margaritas or any specialty drinks- I don’t suggest.
I had the black bean burger which comes with fries. Delicious .Very difficult to eat. The bun was delicious. The guacamole was good but combined with the not yet ripe tomatoes pickles and lettuce made it impossible to bite because it slipped all over the place. Be forewarned!
I had to use a fork – I was given 2 forks no knife upbeat sports bar atmosphere .
I ordered wings well-tossed, but they came out barely sauced and cold. When I mentioned it to the server, instead of remaking them, she just dumped a huge amount of extra sauce on top — definitely not the right fix. On top of that, there was no cutlery in my to-go bag, and I noticed a few staff, including my server, standing around chatting instead of helping customers.
The honey garlic flavor also tasted more like buffalo sauce — not the sweet and garlicky flavor you’d expect. To top it off, I asked for a bottled Pepsi, but the server refused and said they only offer fountain drinks, even though there were bottled drinks right behind her.
Overall, not impressed at all with the service or the food this time.
