Buffalo Indian Restaurant was one of the best North Indian restaurants I have been in the US. Their curries taste pretty authentic and flavorful. Their menu caters to everyone’s need (Indian’s and Non-Indian’s) based on the spice levels, protein, and the sauce. Their breads have the rich aroma of ghee.
I did not expect to find this restaurant in Wyoming while I’ve been looking for this kind of restaurant in the major cities across the United States. Hats off to the wonderful food and service they’ve provided.

I’ve been thinking of how to explain Buffalo Indian. All I’ve come up with is – imagine eating some of the best Indian (from India) food you’ve ever had in a cowboy-themed restaurant.
I had Mixed Biryani (lamb, chicken and shrimp), medium spice, with Naan. It was amazing!
And there was a lot! I used the Naan as my fork scooping up the Biryani and dipping before eating – delicious!
If you are a fan of Indian food and you are anywhere near Laramie, WY you HAVE to stop at Buffalo Indian Restaurant!

I got to post a review. Second visit tonight and it was phenomenal! I’ve had Indian food in fine restaurants coast-to-coast and the food here is just as good, probably better. The restaurant itself is pretty run down but just adds to the charm. Our visits to Laramie are unfortunately coming to an end but will always think of this place and stop in if we are ever passing through. (Get the saag it’s out of this world!)

So glad to have find this gem in our travels. The samosas, can, Iamb vindaloo, and kheer rival that of some of the finest Indian restaurants across the country. Don’t let the rustic exterior and decor deter you from trying Buffalo Indian.

Buffalo Indian was our favorite restaurant that we tried while visiting Laramie! We got garlic naan, butter naan, and chicken tikka masala (Indian medium hot and hot).
The Tikka Masala was delicious and what I would expect from going to any good Indian restaurant. If you like spice, hot is a good choice. It isn’t overbearing, but you can definitely taste and notice the spice. If you like even more spicy, they do have Indian hot as an option.
The naan was great, but I do think it lacked a bit of flavor and could use some salt. The other thing was the rice they used. It didn’t use basmati rice like every other Indian restaurant I’ve been too, and it was definitely noticeable, however, not the end of the world.
Overall, if you enjoy Indian food and you’re in the area, I highly recommend you try this place out!

Food tastes great at this place. This restaurant is on I-80 and on the way to Grand Tenton National Park. We ordered Onion Kulcha, Tandoori Chicken, Aloo Gobi, Chilly Chicken, Dal Tadka, etc. Spice levels will be exactly what you order. We ordered Mild. Service and Atmosphere both are good. Don’t forget to get Mango Lassi for your long drive.

This place is delicious!!! We stopped by after hearing a lot of good things about this place and we were not disappointed! Friendly service, cozy booth and excellent food. We thought the samosas were wonderful- served with delicious sauces. The chili chicken was also a hit! Nice and spicy and flavor packed. The butter chicken was my favorite along with the garlic naan- YUM! The beautiful serving dishes were a lovely touch. The vegetable curry was full of flavor and we loved the heat. The mango lassi was a nice finish – will definitely be back! Thank you for cooking such quality food!

We’ve been on the road for 90 days and this was the best meal that we have had. Unbelievable taste and freshness. I highly recommend the tandoori chicken and the momos so so so so so so good. We would never have tried this restaurant except that a friend of mine saw that we were in the area and said you got to try this Indian restaurant and so we decided to and we’re so glad we did. Our photos reflect how much we enjoyed everything.

Fabulous food! Polite and friendly staff. Try the shrimp appetizer! Had Mango Chicken and Saag Paneer. Top it off with Garlic Naan and a Mango Lassi. Level two heat was spicy, but not too hot, even for us rookies.
