Established in 1995 in Amherst by UMass grad Bob Lowry, Bueno Y Sano now operates at 8 family-owned locations in Western MA and Burlington, VT. Our burritos, quesadillas, tacos, salads and other recipes are all handcrafted with fresh ingredients and hundreds of delicious combinations. We’re also a proud community sponsor. Small but cute restaurant. The owners are not from Mexico, but another South American country (which one has slipped my mind)… Perhaps they call it Mexican because many non-Latinx persons might not know what to expect if their original country’s name was used.
In any case, I’ve been to a number of their other locations numerous times. This is my first visit to their Holyoke store. The staff was friendly & helpful. I tried both their Honey Miso salad & their store made lemonade for the first time – both were fabulous!
I also brought a friend who’d never tried Bueno y Sano before – I told her it was similar to Chipotle, but family owned rather than part of a big chain.
After we left, I overheard her telling a friend that B&S is far better than Chipotle (fresher & tastier)!
