I’ve been here a few times and the food is always good and fresh. I recently ordered food for catering and it was fantastic. Ready on time, great presentation and service was excellent. The price was very fair for what we got, and everyone was happy with the food. The empanadas are great too! Love this place, definitely recommended!

If you’re planning on ordering food from here, you’re 100% better off going next door to Tropical Market II. I ordered the personal platter #2 and it was basically inedible. The steak was beyond well done; impossible to eat. The maduros were not ripe. The tostones were cold and stale. The arroz con gandules had celery and didn’t taste like anything but that. Bland, cold, overpriced food. And the service, equally as disappointing. Don’t be fooled by their instagram; the pictures do not accurately depict the actual food.

This review is based on one item called Chimichurri (Beef or chicken sandwich), an iconic sandwich from DR. I gave it one star on food because a portuguese roll is not the bread used; it didn’t come with coleslaw; chicken must be fried breaded. It was a simple bread with chicken cutlet, mayo, and ketchup, which made it small. You may wonder why I am so picky about this. I made this my place to enjoy this sandwich, so I was disappointed to drive 10 miles.

The place has great catering choices and pickup/delivery. But to dine in has two tables… the food takes a while to come out. The girls that work there have the worst costumer service they dont bother to say hello or bring the food to the table. You have to go pick it up at the counter. Have to admit the food is good but high on salt.

Unbelievable that we paid $8 for a normal, standard breakfast sandwich on a roll. El Bodegon sell their sandwiches for $4.50. I truly need to know what’s different between their sandwiches and a sandwich from any other deli?! $8, for a subpar, mediocre sandwich is unreal. I got robbed in broad daylight.
