Loveeee Buena Bodega! I’ve been a few times, and each visit I appreciate it a bit more. It truly has a community focused atmosphere. The staff is kind and helpful, and I love the family-friendly vibe.
Their stock of yummy goods are unique and fun, and I love the variety of drink selections.

I went on their opening day (soft opening) and overall it was a very good experience! Longer line, as expected and I thought that was a good thing! Staff was attentive and you can tell no detail was spared in the interior and branding. Good selection of provisions, although I did expect a larger selection. Lots of cute additions for kids including mini shopping carts, letter magnets and free ice cream! I got the avocado toast and an iced latte. The toast had really good flavor- I especially liked the hot sauce- but the “poached” egg was more on the boiled side and I had to wait 20 minutes for it. I rode my bike and didn’t notice any bike racks, so I had to park across the street. No issues that won’t have me coming back though! Great to have something like this in the neighborhood!

Stopped by Buena Bodega for their soft opening and absolutely loved it. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. Great ambiance, good vibes, natural lighting, and the music was on point.
Tessa, the owner, introduced herself and was so kind and warm, which made the experience feel even more special. I even made some friends while sitting by the window area. It truly feels like a community hub, and I’m really looking forward to their future events.
I ordered the bodega chopped bagel on everything and my usual iced vanilla latte with bonus points for the crushed ice. Both were delicious.
This is such a great addition to the Midtown neighborhood. The space is spacious, has restrooms, WiFi (SNACKS1803), and a thoughtfully curated selection of local and specialty goods, plus beer and wine. It is perfect for families, students, people working remotely, or anyone grabbing a coffee and bite. There is also seating area outside for four-legged friends.
I am a sucker for merch, and the branding does not disappoint. Anytime I see Comfort Colors, I know quality matters, and that means a lot to me. Parking was easy too, with their own spaces and plenty of nearby street parking.
Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend.

Love love love! From the aesthetic to their perfectly curated menu. I’ve been here a number of times and get something different from the menu every time. So delicious!
My only critique is the service at the food counter can improve in terms of calling out names more than once and at a louder volume, keeping patrons updated on wait time, order status, etc.

Love this new addition to Ventura! Personally, I buy my recycled (yes, lol) toilet paper here. 🙂 I live close by and it’s been so nice to have great, ethical and fun options! I also bring my toddler along because they do such a wonderful job of including little ones in everyday activities. Kid-sized shopping carts, magnets, a mini cash register, kid snacks. I’m so thankful for a space where I can buy some groceries and a coffee all in one place. I also always feel so welcomed and greeted by the staff, especially the owner, Tessa. She truly makes an effort and has such a kind heart; you can feel it when you walk in! I highly recommend checking it out for market finds and food goodies.

Such a great addition to Ventura! Bagels are super fresh, filled with high quality ingredients which is so nice. The wine selection of the bodega is really great, they carry natural wines and other local producers which is hard to come by these days. A personal favorite. Can’t wait to see how they grow and develop in our community. 10/10 and just getting started.

So happy to see new local business open up in midtown! Been anxiously awaiting since I am walking distance from the shop. I loved the bagels, soft serve, and the coffee is super yummy. great selection of unique treats and wine! the only thing that was disappointing was the service aspect. i have been in 5 times and every employee i have interacted with has just been very negative and it has made my experiences a little uncomfortable. i have been a barista for years and know things can get hectic and be a lot but every time i have come in it’s been a slow chill day. I want to keep supporting but just feel like that could be improved upon!

Couldn’t have enjoyed my time more! This space is thoughtfully curated, clean, has a flow and quality products. Staff was friendly and attentive, genuinely seemed so happy to be there servicing people. I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich and I was pleasantly surprised, it was DELICIOUS! Flavor + seasoning, thoughtfully created (wasn’t just thrown together with a few simple ingredients). 10/10 recommend and cannot wait to see the place continue to grow! GO BODEGA!
