I stopped here because of the open patio, but I’ll come back for the food! I stopped here on a whim while passing through Washington because I wanted a view of the river and the patio (which can close if needed by weather) had seating with more than 6ft between tables. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of food, everything was delicious including the drinks! We had the pecan crusted haddock with a kale pesto and red quinoa and rice (a huge piece of haddock with a generous, flavorful crust and that pesto, amazing, like maybe the best I’ve had) and a Smoke Avocado Burger (bacon cooked perfectly, a juicy Burger, perfectly fried egg, melty gouda and a delicious special house sauce on a toast fresh bun) with the most perfect fries. Obviously I’m a fan, do yourself a favor and make a point to stop by.

The only good thing about this place and the experience the night I attended this bar was the owner was very nice and cordial. The customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Honestly, I think the owner should consider a series restaffing of the bar. The first thing I saw before I even entered the bar was two cop cars and numerous patrons sitting on the curb in front of the place that appeared to have just gotten into a brawl. Not a great first impression. They only served cans that cost $4. Bottles or draft would have made the experience better. The karaoke system was decent sounding, although the DJ was below average, and was far from being friendly or enthusiastic about being their at all. I had to wait two hours to sing one song. And honestly, if I hadn’t stood by the stage waiting to sing, he would have never called my name even though I tipped him. Favoritism, is definitely played here. As a DJ from St Louis, this is a terrible strategy if you want new customers to return. I just moved to the area and was looking for a new local place to hang out and have a good time. Not only did the DJ ignore me, but so did the bar tenders who in my opinion, all had negative attitudes and were to busy texting on their phones to give good service. I had one beer the two hours I was here, sat at the bar, and was never once asked if I could be helped. I wouldn’t recommend going here. Unfortunately, there is allot of lost business and paying customers that are being ignored.

Buds is the BEST!! Their staff and owners are so incredibly thoughtful and giving. My husband and I got married last weekend and had our wedding party stay in Washington. None of our wedding party had ever been to Washington, so we knew we needed a great spot to celebrate our rehearsal dinner and after party. Man, did Buds deliver! Everyone loved the food (people said the wings were the best wings ever) and it was so awesome to have them be so kind and compassionate. We originally had plans to rent out the patio space, and we were overjoyed when we arrived and saw that they closed the entire place for us and our wedding party. Buds will forever hold a special place in our hearts and will be the only place we ever eat at in Washington!!

Great spot in Washington down on the riverfront. Two page menu, but they’ve got something for everyone. A variety of local beers and liquor selection are great as well. Recommend the Buds Burger with their signature sauce.

We were looking for a great place to eat where we could also bring our doggie. I found Buds and we had a great time sitting on the patio. The waiter brought us a pup cup for our dog. We had a great meal the food was good the staff was very attentive to our needs. The price was good for the amount and quality of the food we ordered. We will definitely be back with our dog. I would recommended this place to family and friends.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The chicken wings are top notch. Great flavor and they are huge! The pizza is amazing and the beer is cold. Our server Katie was awesome, and the bartender Eddie even came to our table to talk to my 9 year old about WWE wrestling. Great experience! Highly recommend!

Went to Bud’s for the House Burger based on a friend’s recommendation. Sadly I was disappointed in the entire experience. We waited for at least 5 minutes before one of the three wait staff even acknowledged us. Had they been busy, the 5 minute wait would have been reasonable, however we were only the third table and 2 of the seven guests at the pub. The wait staff was really busy (not!) one appeared to be doing something (maybe job related) at the bar, the second was clearing a table (next to ours) that was empty when we arrived but didn’t even look in our direction or even welcome us. The third was busy checking something on her cell phone. Now for the food: We ordered the House Burger ($12) and the American Burger ($10). The food was served quickly, but the burger meat lacked any flavor to speak of and both were wafer thin patties. The fries were good. The ketchup container(s) both ours and the neighboring table’s were less then half full when delivered to our tables. After our meal was served, we didn’t have any real interaction with the wait staff until we were presented with our bill. The atmosphere was very nice. We won’t go back as there are several other great restaurants in town.
