The Deli Classic was just as impressive in its own way. You could immediately tell how fresh the ingredients were; the crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and housemade turkey came together in a way that didn’t feel heavy but still totally satisfying. It’s clear that a lot of thought goes into the quality and preparation here. If you want something more mild or traditional get this one
The staff were also so friendly and welcoming, and the service was surprisingly quick; I only waited around five minutes for my order, even during a busy time. The whole experience felt chill, easy, and friendly. I also love that this is an entirely vegan business; it makes the meal taste even better knowing I’m supporting something sustainable and compassionate. Highly recommend this place!!! I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!
Edit to add: I am not vegetation or vegan and yet truly would prefer this sandwich shop over many (if not all) others I’ve tried.
We found Buds, drove over, parked right in front, ordered and then experienced one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in years
I can’t wait to visit again
Salt Lake City is a cool place to visit, and Buds is a GREAT place to eat. do yourself a favor, get one to eat there, and plan to take a second one home

I ordered a classic with yellow mustard and somehow it ended up coming with some kind of insanely delicious pickles as well.
The whole sandwich blew my mind.
I was literally dizzy when I finished it. It was so good.
I hope I get the pickle treatment again someday!
By the way, did you ever notice how cheap the sandwiches are? Don’t forget to smash the far right tip button because the employees will benefit from it and food prices are hella low to start with.
I was in town for work and did a quick Google search for bahn mi. This place was closest, and without looking into it too closely, I stopped in to grab a sandwich. Like Ivan, I noticed the “v chicken” on the menu as I was ordering, which seemed curious but I didn’t think much of it at the time… then while I was waiting, I pulled up a few reviews and realized that I had just ordered a vegan bahn mi. At that point, I was feeling a bit nervous, but figured the reviews were great, so I’d give it a go.
My sandwich came out about 4 minutes after I ordered, which was quick, and I was immediately surprised by the size. The amount of food for the price was almost alarming. The portions were very notable, immediately making this a good deal.
After a couple bites of my sandwich, I was hooked. I wouldn’t say it was as good as a traditional bahn mi from one of the many local Vietnamese joints in the valley, but it was very, very good. I never would have guessed it was vegan. Everything about it was on point, including the bread, which makes or breaks a good bahn mi.
Worth noting, though, when I first arrived, I was expecting a little indoor area to sit and eat, but this place just has a walk-up order and pick up window, with a few picnic tables sitting outside. It’s very much the food truck experience, but with a brick and mortar location. I didn’t love having to eat on my lap in the car on a cold January day, but it wasn’t a huge deal.
Overall, though, very good experience. I would never personally come here just because it’s vegan, but I would absolutely come here to get a very, very good sandwich for a surprisingly-reasonable price. Highly recommended, even beyond the vegan crowd.
