Where to start, you have to grab a table and then go to a counter to order instead of them coming to you (not bad but would be nice to have waitstaff). The bathroom sink drain was broke so water stood in the sink. The place was very cold and definitely needed upkeep. Now, for the food. We ordered breadsticks, they were very tough and chewy with not a lot of flavor. The pizza was very thin, soggy, not very flavorful besides of some spicy sausage chunks and overcooked. There was a game on the tv in the room with the bar that was very loud and made it hard to hear. The system of coming out and calling your name isn’t very helpful when you have common names. The 1 thing this place has going for it is the young lady and man that were working/clearing off tables. They were very friendly.
Editing to add: wow owner response… I’m providing my clear account of what happened. The top of that pizza looks ok, but the crust was clearly overcooked. To answer the snarky question, NO! I have not been to this establishment before and will not be coming back to the frozen tundra any time soon! You clearly have 0 customer service skills. Have the day you deserve!

Great tasting pizza. No delivery though (sad face). 2nd time ordering today, purchased for employees. Third time visiting this week.

We had pizza and cheese bread. We walked in right before closing and they graciously served us. While waiting on our order we had a wonderful friendly and welcoming conversation. The restaurant is really cute, the staff extremely nice, and the food was good. There were plenty of other menu items we would try when we go back but our initial impression was very positive.

uddy’s Pizza is hands-down my favorite place to eat pizza in Frankfort. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the service makes you feel right at home. The pizza is consistently delicious — great flavor, great quality, and always freshly made.
Every visit has been a great experience, and you can tell they really care about their customers. If you’re looking for amazing pizza and a place with a great atmosphere, Buddy’s Pizza is definitely the spot.

We were passing through Frankfort and found this little gem. I was skeptical about getting pizza in KY but wow that was put to rest after one bite. The crust is perfect. Thin with a great chew. Sauce is great and ample amounts of cheese and toppings. Best pizza I’ve had west of NJ / Delaware! The service super friendly. It was a delightful experience

I’m a local, born and raised, and its been a few years since I’ve been to Buddy’s. Went in with my family one night recently, it was busy due to a local event. Waited in line a few minutes, then found myself at the counter… being awkwardly ignored by the two employees behind the it. They were literally staring off past me into space, for at least a few minutes, doing nothing else. There were people behind me in line. Confused, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and patiently assumed they were waiting on something, like maybe still helping someone who’d come before me. Eventually I casually raised my hand toward them and asked if I could place an order. They casually responded, “Sure, what would you like?”
I’m not sure what I was missing, but it was a very long, awkward period of time waiting to be greeted by them and invited to place an order. That never occurred at all. Even after beckoning them, they were very short with me. I wouldn’t say they were directly rude, but it seemed like fake politeness in the very brief encounter we did have. To this day I don’t understand what I experienced. I won’t be back any time soon.

Pros:
*Extremely nice staff
*Conveniently located downtown amongst many shops and historic buildings.
*Plenty of seating and it has a small bar on one side and the pizza part on the other.
*One free soda refill and lots of stacked pizza boxes you grab yourself to take the leftovers.
*They offer a garlic butter or ranch to dip your crust in.
*My friend liked her salad and said it was very good.
Cons:
*We ordered the extra large. Given the size the outside was dry and the middle was a little underdone.
*The building is very old with original wood floors, but the walls were in need of some serious repair. It has a very old historic building smell as well. Probably difficult to clean.
*Closes for part of the day between lunch and dinner; can be hit or miss if it is open.
*No wifi

Staff are quite dull, as is the atmosphere. It seems as if it’s a shell of a once lively place, which highlights it’s potential but falls flat as it’s uncomfortably quiet and damp (musty). In my experience the staff are rude. Everything about this place feels like they want you to change your mind and leave. We were allowed to order, but they said take out only… as two people sat across from us, dining in. Maybe they dislike children. The pizza is alright, but they take their time- and it’s not like they’re busy.

Very nice pizza place in downtown Frankfort. Our hosts were super friendly which makes a huge difference when you’re sitting down to eat in a hometown restaurant. The cuisine was actually pretty roomy for a small town pizza place. It hasphotos of the local’s fury companions on the wall and the place was very clean. You can tell it’s a local favorite. The pizza was quite excellent too. Real mozzarella cheese and real pepperoni! The crust was crunchy on the ends just like we all enjoy it. Also a toasty undercarriage like DP likes it lol. Very brick oven. Highly recommended
