Charming place with a cozy outdoor seating area — you can choose to sit under the roof near the entrance or out in the open. The staff is super polite and attentive, all young and welcoming. Everything we tried was well-prepared and tasty — definitely five stars for food quality.
Inside is clean and neat, including the restroom (just one, but it was tidy). The ordering process is a bit different than usual: you walk straight to the counter, pick a menu, order and pay there — no one seats you at a table or brings you a menu. It caught me off guard at first, but the system works efficiently.
There’s plenty of parking space, which is always a plus.
My daughter lit up when she saw hot dogs on the menu — and that alone made the visit feel like a little celebration.
Overall, a lovely local spot with personality. I’d say it’s worth the visit!

We brought a bus with 50 people. They knew we were coming and had 4 people working. No one waited for more than 5 minutes for a lunch. They cranked it out. Awesome smash burger. The cheese was gooey! Bright it next door and ate at Local Motive Brewing.

Buddy’s has quickly became one of our favorite places to eat. We were recommended by our Food Rep and it didn’t disappoint. My go to is the buddy burger and the steak chips but, my favorite thing I’ve have probably gotten was the June 2025 burger of the month, the Buddy Melt. I wish it was a regular menu item.

The food was really good! I actually don’t like fish that much, but I saw someone else had it and it looked so good I had to try it. It was perfect, not too fishy, the tartar sauce was great, and it was made fresh! Their fries are super tasty. Even the ice cream was great. Never heard of this place before, I stumbled upon it by accident and I’m so glad I did! We will definitely be back. My husband loved the chicken tenders, perfectly battered and decently sized. The service was also great. On the down side, this place is fairly busy and smaller so you may have to wait, but it is definitely worth it!

My mom and I came through Florence driving back to North Carolina from Jacksonville, Florida and stopped by for a bite. And above all else, the burgers were exquisite and so delicious! The way they made the steak fries were well done and worth it! The staff were extremely helpful in every way! Definitely worth returning at some point in the future!

I was excited to try Buddy’s it is tucked in by the trail and plenty of parking. I ordered burger of the month which was the western burger and a soda. It was 15.95 for just those two items. The burger was not cooked to order fresh it was warm tough but the bacon on the sandwich was Refrigerator COLD. It is stored in a pan on the counter. For that price they should cook it fresh. It was not a good burger and I was/AM very disappointed. I could have gotten a better smash burger at sonic down the street in fact a whole meal for 6 dollars. This was not good I did show the lady the cold bacon and ask about it and she said yeah probably not and that was it. Customer service is lacking but there ya go. No pride shows in the food DO NOT RECOMMEND you can do a lot better in Florence at other places

Stopped in for an adult milkshake they were very accommodating with making slight changes due to not liking bourbon. Milkshake came out fantastic, staff was extremely nice. Definitely a place to stop when in the area.

Had a fish sandwich and it was good enough but really it was pretty mid. I was excited by the white American cheese but it really was a letdown. I couldn’t taste the cheese; maybe yellow cheese with better choice here. Steak fries was fire though! They literally sliced a potato and fried this slices then put it in a cup with some salt. Great idea and great execution!

Our visit to Martha’s ice cream was amazing. The ice cream was delicious and Kay was so helpful and kind while we were making our decisions. Also if you mix the lemon basil and the butter pecan its wonderful!
