My brother told me about this place. I love trying new restaurants. Their menu is fun to look at and the atmosphere is cozy and friendly. I had chicken tenders and my bf had the Buddy Burger. We shared a loaded wedge fry. It was plenty to get us full.

Delicious burger and waffle fries! Be sure to grab lots of napkins because the toppings were plentiful and can make a mess. The waffle fries had a great seasoning and their bottled sodas were very good. I loved creating my own burger and the pretzel buns are also a nice option.

The flavors were outstanding. The space is a little small but the staff kept it well maintained. The hand breaded mushrooms were phenomenal as they were definitely not frozen more pre-battered. The Italian beef was a pound of meat stuffed into a half pound bun the au jus flavoring was excellent one of the best I’ve had in Rockford. The buddy burger was juicy and flavorful. Very happy with everything.

We went here and had a great time! It was really worth the stop and we were impressed with the food. They have a deep fried apple pie (pictured) which is worth sharing with friends and their burgers are fresh, hot, and big enough that you’ll probably take leftovers home. Additionally the service was great – they were very busy but went out of their way to be polite and friendly. We’ll be coming again!

This is the second time I have been to Buddys Burger and I am not impressed with the Philly Steak sandwich. Each time it was dry and over cooked. My waffle fries were over cooked and cold each time. Maybe if I try something different it might be better.

We found this place thanks to coworkers who had been coming here for a few weeks. Honestly if we hadn’t been looking we would have missed it, which is a shame.
The burgers we had were great. They have a good build-your-own burger selection, as well as some nice looking sandwich options (going back to see how their Philly is at some point). A nice selection of sides, a good kids (and 60+) menu, and desserts!
Our burgers were made to perfection and while I thought only getting a single side to share between my husband and I was a bad idea, it was perfect. From the amount of fries to the size of our personal burgers we were happily stuffed. We are going back and seriously recommend checking this place out at least once.

A local treasure hidden at the end of a strip mall on Riverside. If you see Lonnie’s carpet you’re in the right place.
They are a local gem, with a wide selection of burgers, sandwiches and sides that will make you want to come back again and again. You can select your bun, your toppings and personalize the side. If you are a diet coke fan, you will be happy to see they have it in fountain as a self serve. Finally a small local business with Coca-Cola products.
The staff is always friendly, and prompt in keeping the place tidy. They have several tables to dine in but have always seen people picking up and taking it out.
Parking is easy and they even have a couple of outside tables for you to enjoy the summer air….
